Your list is pure class, I find no fault in it, mine wouldn’t be so much different. Maybe I would go Omega Aqua Terra or Constellation Globemaster not a big Speedy fan or chronograph for that matter, but I do recognise why it’s pure class. My ocd calls for the number 12 on the Explorer, it feels incomplete this way (Im sure there is a reason behind it), and Im also little bit hurt by the power indicator on the GS. If it’s automatic/self-winding, what’s the point it being on the front rather than on the back, the dial just less clean this way, but still, what a beauty. 👌🏻😬

For me no doubt i will buy thr rolex explorer but will prefer the explorer 36mm steel gold...and the cartier but tank solo with steel strap and little more big size...

That JLC is my grail man. Tried it on once in london, and went back and tried in on 3 more times. In 2 days. Theyre actually just so beautifully finished and super wearable. Do it ;) 🐐🐐🐐

Rolex Explorer 36 is great I think it was John Mayer's first...definitely on my daily wears when I hit the lottery. 3 of your dreams watches are on my dream watches...but Vacheron Constantin Overseas or Fiftysix are the top top. Would love to see you collection! Chrono24 has a list keeping tool that tracks the value of your watch and what you bought it for that would be a fun idea.

@@WatchYourselfJorge VC 1921 is quirky, but for a 30-40k watch the Overseas chronograph with the date at the 4 o'clock. If I ever became a store manager for Walmart or another way of making 300k/yr I would be wearing a 30k watch no question. I mean yeah my dream dream watch is a Jacob & Co Astronomia but if that watch is on my wrist I'm never working a day again.....I wanna know what your DREAM DREAM watches are... money be damned haha

I love you, but feel people talking about what they would spend money, they do not have on, is 'playground' talk. What I mean by that is that when the time comes, they will probably buy something completely different if they earn the money (as opposed to a lottery win). You are obviously well aware that the Speedy is manual wind, but it's something that is rarely mentioned. Kind of odd you downplay the Speedy size, yet picked the 36mm Explorer over the 40mm. Did you know the Explorer 40 is actually 38.5mm anyway? You also wanted the Cartier in the XL because its automatic, but happy the Speedy is manual??!! Lastly, all Grand Seiko's have some taper on the bracelet ; ) Interesting GS Bracelet facts are: 1/ They give max bracelet circumference of all models on the website 2/ Although no micro adjust, 6mm part links, and 9mm full links = 3mm of adjustment. This applies to all watches with part links, but its funny GS AD's and their reps do not know this. As someone in the business, did you know this?

yeah it is playground talk but everyone is guilty of it. But these are genuinely the watches I'd get when and if I earned the money, everyone has a Wishlist whether they like to admit it or not, and there's nothing wrong with that. Yes I'm aware that the speedy is manual wind, its one of the things I love about it. The size fits that watch perfectly and I like it being a very small wearing 42mm. I've tried both the 40 and the 36mm explorer and I prefer the 36 for that watch. I take each watch on a case by case basis and I prefer that watch at that size, due to that watches own merits. I don't get why I'd like watches at only one size? In regards to the cartier, i referred to it being automatic as opposed to QUARTZ as much of the collection is, rather than it being manual. Both the large tank and small are quartz. You have to get to the XL to get an automatic movement and manual isn't an option. Lastly any bracelet taper on the Taisetsu is EXTREMELY minimal. It goes from 21mm and loses very little width. I'm aware of the part links, but I don't consider that all that impressive honestly, or much of a feature given the increasing availability of tooless micro adjust. The Taisetsu doesn't even have micro adjust at all, so part links are an absolute MINIMUM. even a PRX has that. I love Grand Seiko ALOT and would love tot feature them on the channel more but they do need to up their bracelet game.

@@WatchYourselfJorge Ooops, you got me on the Cartier 😉 Yes, forgot they love quartz lol. It's me with egg on my face now haha. I would love a manual wind, but there is such little choice for me. So many great possibilities (Longines Master Series for example) but they are always auto! You answered all my whinges perfectly, but not quite sure you understand what I mean about the part links. No micro adjust is so 1980, but even with it, a bracelet with part links (they are never half links) and micro adjust, should be sized using the relevant combination of part/full links first, so that the watch fits with the micro adjust still usable (as opposed to using the full extent of the micro adjust to fit wrist, but nowhere to go from there). I bet your shop has never sized a bracelet with say 6mm and 9mm links, to fit with 3mm accuracy. Its just too time consuming. A Grand Seiko would be fitted to 6mm accuracy, and anything with a micro adjust (and part links) would have the micro at its extreme to get customer out the door. Grand Seiko links are so fiddly/time consuming to remove/replace (especially if you want the clasp central), that it would take ages to get a good fit sometimes!

@@wristopia4101 I definitely have used part and full links in combination to achieve a better fit before. It's not much more time consuming and is important to do if the client needs it. Granted it's not often needed but I've definitely done it. Don't worry I do get your point and it's a good option to have but for more it's sort of the bare minimum. And thanks for acknowledging that I addressed the points well 😂 not many people would do that! I'm certainly not an expert on this stuff but I know what I like lol

@@WatchYourselfJorge Top man ; ) My GS AD manager, and a GS rep that was there at a GS evening, had no idea I could get a 3mm adjustment, rather than 6mm! I never told them. Had to pay £90 for an additional link lol, so maybe they were just avoiding me wanting it comp? Took the guy ages to swap them, and he admitted it was not enjoyable.
