I love to see how other people clean up their pocket knives. I use the sandpaper, about the same as you. I need to get a buffer though. Very nice job cleaning that one up. It looks really good. Have a good one.

Very cool! I enjoy seeing how everyone in the community cleans their knives. I got most of my ways by watching Tom over at Knife Delights. He has some good skills over there too. Sweet looking knives brother. I use mineral oil, never dull and an old can of Alumin-Nu metal cleaner(i have two cans that came with the house when we bought it). Everything is done by hand. I do have a corded Dremel tool with all of the bits, but i haven't used it yet. Happy Belated Father's Day brother. You and your family have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend brother. God Bless

Get a speed controller for your grinder. Slow buffer is better and safer.

I always used cleaning vinegar to remove rust and sand paper to restore pocket knives. I also use a buffing wheel with the green then i use Jewelers rouge( red compound).

Yeah, they’re pretty abrasive. I rarely use it for knives, I usually just start with a 400 grit sandpaper. I’m getting better every day. Thank you Dewayne.

wow...a mirrored finish on that blade, buddy....the ones I've been working with lately are in such bad shape, that scratches from a fiber wheel is a big improvement :D Jim

I’ve never had a scratched up blade from the fiber wheel. Even at high speeds. The bolsters are never scratched. Matter of fact it removes scratches from blades and bolsters. Just take a look at my videos. I use The fiber wheel every clean up. Great Video.

I just have my way of cleaning up knives, and it’s been my experience that the fiber wheel will make the blades cloudy, so I will use different grades of sand paper to bring back a mirror polish. @@OzarksBoy-g8n yeah. The fiber wheel is not a polisher. It’s a great and fast way to remove surface rust. The buffing wheel like you used is the polisher. Totally understand. But I’ve never had a fiber wheel to scratch a blade or bolster up. Your way is great! Not knocking your way at all. I’m just defending the fiber wheel. 😊

@@theknifedoctor oh, me neither brother, in fact you’re the reason I bought that rig in the first place. I just had a bad experience with it. I use it in extreme cases, and then sand and polish. I appreciate you commenting, and I don’t in any way want you to think that I’m trying to knock your method either. I been watching you a long time, and you’re one of my favorite. Yes, I’ve seen that. I’m not a big fan of Flitz, I will use it as a final step after sanding and buffing, but I’ve never noticed a big difference. I hear Mother’s Wheel polish is pretty good however? Thank you for watching brother. God bless.
