Exceptional work. What did you spray on the paper before the final fit (14:14)? Was it just to add a bit of texture to the paper?
@AlbertoBizzini6 жыл бұрын
Thank you You moisten the paper with water. When the paper dries, it shrinks and becomes taut.

How do you open this to change the bulb I have one in my kitchen but it doesn’t come off and I’m afraid to make it fall down from ceiling
@AlbertoBizzini6 жыл бұрын
Hi Jenn. I"m afraid I can't help you. The one I built has no bottom, so you can easily reach the bulb. Sorry.

Thank you Sean for replying on my behalf! (I didn't have the "notification for comments" enabled, so I just so the question today) Do you make shoji-style stuff as well?
@seannolan79487 жыл бұрын
I am in the process of making two shoji-style LED floor lamps. Each panel is 72" tall and 11" wide, so the process of chiseling the frames, cutting all of the half-laps, assembling, and applying finish was tedious at best. All the care and effort will feel worthwhile the first time they turn on. I opted to use a laminated paper (thin plastic film sandwich, no water misting necessary) mainly because it has greater transparency. It will also be somewhat more durable.
@AlbertoBizzini7 жыл бұрын
Wow, 72 inches, it's huge! I'm curious, when you have finished, if you want, send me some photos (you can send me a message through this page: facebook.com/ideebizzesche/)
