I am just watching this video, but I remember being a 7th grade student at the school and it being my first year at Milton Hershey I never thought that I would be able to come to a concert like yours on our canpus. I still have your CD. I am curently a sophmore almost a junor and I love having that memory. And achally the house that you visited Rome was achally my next door neighbor. my house was the one next to it on the left. Your comeing to the school was one of the best experiences that I have had at the school.

Thank you for this. Both of my kids graduated from this school. 2019 and 2020 graduates. My daughter is a lifer. Meaning she went in in kindergarten.

I actually went to show of the summer up in Hershey then the next day I took the chocolate tour and went to the zoo up there. I don't live there or near there but I might go to Milton Hershey School......

I know it's been a whole month, but just in case you're still looking into MHS, I graduated last year, and I can honestly tell you, it is not easy, but going to MHS is the best decision I've ever made. Every single step of the way I was challenged to try something new or do something else, to step out of comfort zone. To learn. To grow. But the best part of MHS? You don't have to do it alone. My support system at MHS consisted of a wide variety of people, including my houseparents from SH Midvale, my Girl Scout troop leader, my Calculus and Chemistry teachers, my TL staff, and even the president of the school himself, Mr. Gurt (or Gurt as we like to call him). I just started college at Rochester Institute of Technology in late August, and having gone to MHS, I now realize how much of a "leg-up" I have. Not only was I given a full academic scholarship (all because I had teachers at MHS who challenged me to push myself academically) to attend RIT, but they taught me the most important lesson that I've learned college students, and even adults lack, your success, in anything, depends on if you have the discipline to manage your freedom. I'll leave you with this last little tid-bit, and my MHS email, [e-mail], please contact me if you ever feel the need to, I'd be happy to provide you with an alumna's perspective on MHS! "If I were able to look back to Jan. 26th, 2014 (my enrollment date) and see the pre-MHS Mary, I would not recognize the woman she was. Abbie Bartels was a victim at this very school. Despite her psychiatric reports that stated she was stable, they refused to allow her to attend Middle School graduation due to their belief that she was a potential threat to students. She had been at this very school since the age if 4, and took her own life in 2013. To those of you reading this review, I urge you to boycott this school for its inhumane and inexcusable actions. This is a very sad story. All I can say is my daughter graduated in 2020 and thrived in MHS. MHS is not for everyone. The success of a student there really depends on their sponsor n family. My daughter struggled many times while there and I got in the car and drove to the school and showed her love and support. Its never easy but it's always worth it. What I'm gonna say the system at MHS let her down but the parents must take some responsibility also. The poor girl was worried about her dad cause of his problems its just sad. I have to proclaim the school does so much good for so many kids even with this horrible tragedy the good tremendously outweigh the bad.... RIP Abbie 🙏🙏🙏
