as a new first time mom, I just want to say how I wish all OBGyn’s were like you… truly, we need more that care for the mom and still treat them like humans after delivery and not just a baby birthing machine. I hope you never lose sight of that and always treat all mommas with love and care because holyy crap labor is insane and post-partum is even crazier! haha

Hi Rachel, I am going to be an incoming pre-medical student and I wanted to say that your videos form the beginning till recently have been extremely helpful in showcasing the ups and downs of the journey into medicine. Your words about no matter how hard you fall, you always get up and instilling confidence no matter the circumstances of a situation is truly inspirational. You are one of the very few that gives individuals hope to become a doctor despite the challenges that come with. Thank you ❤

It's so interesting that Fridays are usually your most busy days. Our busy days tend to be Mondays in the ER I work out. I am weekends only as an ED tech so I don't work Mondays anymore unless I pick up. And Fridays aren't usually bad unless we are low on staff. We did end up having 5 Bravo trauma alerts last night at the tail-end of my shift that I stayed to help with.

Hi Rachel, my residency experienced suffered a lot because I was bullied my intern year and this ruined my experience n getting the training I needed and also being able to enjoy residency and create good doctor patient bonds. I know this is random but can you please shed some light on what I can do because it’s still bothering me and I felt so exhausted and defeated and I ask my self why I didn’t enjoy residency and I think it was because of the people who really took away from all the learning and training and stuff. Yeah, if you can cover it in one of your videos that would be great. Thank you!

hey rachel, it's kind of small but I just wanted to say, thank you so much for wearing an LGBTQ+ badge reel. i work at a hospital here in LA, i'm in a WLW relationship, and most of all of my co-workers have been disapproving and voiced to me how disgusting they think my relationship is. it's been really hard to deal with and i'm surprisingly finding it hard to see any support or allyship in my medical community. i'm attending your med school (Western!!) this upcoming august and i hope to show my support for my community the way you have for us. all this to say, thank you for the support

Hey Rachel! I'm an MS1 and I'd love to if you did a "why OB/GYN" video. I appreciate that you give us pieces of that within all your videos, but I'd love to hear about things you did in medical school that solidified the specialty for you, any extracurriculars you were involved in to make you a solid applicant, or even hear about the away rotations process or other opportunities you had throughout medical school! Figured that could make a good (hopefully easy) sit-down video for you :) I also have noticed many people become torn between OB/GYN and Pediatrics. Could you talk about if you had that experience at all, or why you think that's a common thing?

I'm currently a PhD student in my last year before submitting and I am having this exact same feeling. I hate working this much. I love my research and teaching and working with students, but I feel overworked. I honestly don't think it gets better after the PhD if I stay in academia so I'm just...not sure. Do you think it will get better once you are done with residency?
