My Whole Neighbourhood Heard This...

*Video obtained and used with permission. This was happening in my neighbour's back yard. I thought they did a great job in handling this difficult situation. (P.S. You can hear it clearer with headphones on.)
Recently my husband of 20 years and biological father of our 8 children suddenly passed away (on July 16, 2023). Adjusting to the sudden trauma and shock has been the hardest thing we have had to go through in our entire lives! Our 8 children spent their whole lives having their father by their side at home, guiding them. Now this grave loss has caused a ripple affect not only in our daily lives but emotionally, as well as a great looming uncertainty.

@@Momof8kidsmy brother is an adolescent psychiatrist. Of course he can’t diagnose with just this video alone, but clearly the kid needs a full psych workup. There very well could be something awful happening in the home but until a complete workup is done, no one will get a clear answer.

That child reminds me of someone i knew growing up. He needs love and a child who has genuine love at home typically doesn't behave this way unless theres an underlying condition. I truly hope that little boy gets help in any way possible to help him. My heart aches for him. Neighbors did a great job with him.

He is clearly in distress and posting things like this will not help him at all. You are being very irresponsible. That is the most disturbing outburst I've ever heard from a child. I cannot even imagine what is going through the children's minds that live around there. Father God, please help that child. Telling the kid to calm down is the worst. And threatening them is bad. And telling the kid he is bad. Not good. She needs to chill a bit. They are afraid of parents being told cause they get more trouble. Kill and bad language is common and not meant. They hear it in video games and get reactions. The poor kid needs friends and parents not to be bullies to him.

I actually felt really bad for him. I really think he just needs understanding and needs help. I don’t think isolation from all the neighborhood kids is the answer. Rosalie, I'm sorry your family, you and you neighbours were subjected to this. Watching it, I felt my blood pressure rising! I would not have negotiated with him. I'd have called the police. I'd report the incident to CPS. The child is clearly uncontrollable, highly emotional & irrational. I've worked with children my entire life & this behaviour is displayed by someone we will read about in the news one day, and it will not be in recognition of any accolades, sadly. Children like this are dangerous to others and themselves. He should be on atypical antipsychotic medications. He has several behaviour & emotional disorders and should be receiving comprehensive treatment along with his parents who should be attending parental management programmes or training and probably should be in a specialised education facility. This is frightening for children to witness and alarming as well as challenging for adults to have to witness and intervene. Hi Rosalie, This is a disturbing situation. Even if family services was called, it doesn’t mean a solution would be forthcoming. I am sad this child is so troubled. It is not an easy fix. I hope he gets help and accepts the changes he will need to make. I have worked with children and many do not make the changes that are necessary to change the negativity in the child’ s life.. Sometimes the devil you know is better and more comfortable than the devil you don’t know. I will say a prayer for this child.

Bless your heart he has some major problems. Definitely would not let him play with my kids. He needs therapy and medication to help learn self-control. He most likely has a mental condition but doesn't sound like his parents know what to do to help him. Or do not have the money.

The kid is threatening, trespassing, and being disruptive. Whoever knew where he lived should have went to his home, informed his parents and/or called the police. I certainly would have went to his home the minute someone said that they knew where he lived. I hope by now his parents are involved and the kid is getting the help he needs. Otherwise, you haven’t heard the last of him and his progressive behavior will continue if everyone waits for another to inform the parents or call the police.

The man in the video who took him off the trampoline went to the kid's house and informed the kid's parents. Then someone from the kids household came and picked him up, put him over his shoulder and carried him home at the end of the video. Thank you for your feedback.

Rosalie..I've been off YT for a while but am now trying to catch up. First, is this "G"??? I've never seen worse behavioral problems in a child. He is seriously damaged & the best decision that you could make is to keep your healthy, well-rounded kids AWAY FROM HIM. That may sound selfish but this is beyond disturbing. He can only cause harm ... psychological and, or physical, to others around him. It's not your responsibility to seek help for him. His parents, teachers & likely CPS are fully aware of his issues. If he threatens to unalive himself during neighborhood games, I'm certain that he does so at home & school as well. Do not let people here guilt you into what THEY think you should or shouldn't do. Its easy to be arm-chair social workers but THEY don't have him as a neighbor. By the way, you're looking so good... healthy & whole!

I have never come across a child like this in my life, seems that since he lives there in the area, he is there to stay. I would definitely have to call the authorities out of concern, because this is not normal. I would let the authorities know that you don’t want him in your yard anymore out of concern for your own kids. I don’t know how it would be handled since he is a child. But this is very bizarre! It’s not the kid. The behaviour can be because he is neurodivergent and over stimulated. He might also need counselling and some speech therapy and in a few years might be a nice kid. When over stimulated this can happen. But they don’t understand the words they say as its deflection.

Think about that a minute. The kid has disturbing mental health issues so you want to spank him and give him physical punishment. Why? What will hitting him do? He knows what he was doing was wrong. This is obviously coming from his home environment so you want them to spank him too?

That boy has IED (Intermittent Explosive Disorder). Yes I’m diagnosing after a 9 minute video and no one is going to change my mind (so don’t come at me) 😑. I am glad this was witnessed by so many people. Things may become more tense between families short term, but I think in the long run, this event will help many involved.
