Family is boring, egotistical, and old school, leave behind a legacy instead, accomplishment that served humanity in a good way, instead of just doing like everybody else, starting from zero with bringing new people into this world, having to teach them everything from the ground up, watch them do the same thing when they’re older with their kids, and so on, for nobody to remember them when they die, and all they’ve ever done being forgotten. I know there’s the idea life not having any meaning, why you should make the most of it for yourself, but we don’t know that for sure, it’s just a theory, and people don’t think about the choices they make, or do it for their own reasons, they just do the “normal” thing, and live boring, miserable, or simple lives cause of that. The 3 goals of life are in my opinion, for your personal life, strive to have a consistent level of happinness, not exstatically, but a stable source of cherishment instead of unhealty mood swings, be 100% selfless, and do good for others only, and find out the meaning of life, this of course only for those working with space exploration. Also, worst episod yet, Ahsoka looked awful, no clone wars actor cameos or voices, flashback set was a cloud of dust, and no story progression.

"One is never too old to learn, snips". He was 45 when he died. Ahsoka is 47. To me, the lesson he was teaching her was the difference between surviving and living. It was the last lesson he learned, from Luke, when he was her age. From the moment he betrayed Ahsoka, she's been surviving, and her purpose, her conviction, gone. She's got no friends, family or companions around her, no attachment, just as a Jedi should be. But Ahsoka is no Jedi, and like Anakin said he's now passed on the final lesson he learned to her, even what he learned in his final moments. And then as he's smiling and remembering about his last lesson by Luke, she says, "I won't fight you" and he chuckles, because that's also what Luke said to him before that last fight. When his heart was full of rage and darkness that fight is what brought him back. So he turns on his lightsaber, and gets ready to pass that on to her. You live, truly live, or you die just like he did when he became Vader. Just surviving is as good as death. At least that's my take on it I posted elsewhere.

He's not downplaying the things he's done, he's disappointed that Ahsoka has lost he way and is in this funk because of what she thinks is the problem, and his lesson isn't getting through to her. As you see after that, once she understands the lesson and chooses to live and move past everything and become Ahsoka the White, he smiles and says "there's hope for you yet."

Problem with a live action Clone Wars though.. That's 4 seasons, and even if quite some time passes, physically Ahsoka changes little, except for her lekku. Greenblatt would outgrow the character fast. She's already 16, Ahsoka season 1 is 14.

Your eyes did not deceive you, Ahsoka's eye color did change to red there! Whether they changed due to the dark side or just the reflection of the red lightsaber in front of her eyes is up for interpretation. 🤔

Sith eyes, it’s what Ahsoka has been battling with inside. Is she going to go down her masters path? Why she didn’t want a Padawan of her own because of fear of passing on anakins legacy. But this last lesson from anakin set her back on the right path.

Ahsoka's natural eye color is Blue. If her eyes had simply reflected the Red lightsaber, they would appear Purple (Red + Blue). Her eyes briefly flashed to the Sith yellow. This is similar to the previous episode, where she force choked Baylan's apprentice Shin. Force choke is a Dark Side power, and at the time Ahsoka believed that Shin had killed Sabine...

This episode was so good! It really put into perspective just how young Ahsoka was in clone wars. She was a literal child soldier. AND not only did she go toe to toe with Maul but she won too! It's crazy!

The whales aren't just going in some random direction. The map was following their migration path between galaxies, so they should end up at the same spot. The big hyperspace ring might get there faster, though. I have no idea if the purgills can match speeds with that specialised craft.

Hyperspace was designed after the Purrgil so I imagine the ring isn’t as fast as they are.. power is strongest at the source kind of thing idk

In Mando S3 we saw a Purrgil traveling in hyperspace next to Mando’s ship, so in terms of speed they’re probably on par with any regular ship. As for the eye of sion (don’t know how you spell it), I feel like it’s faster, due to having quadruple the amount of hyperdrive cores then a regular Star destroyer. But maybe that doesn’t affect speed, and instead is designed for longer distance traveled.

That's assuming the migration path is linear and ciclical, most are but then again there's no reason space whales would as stars and galaxy's also move, but then again it's fantasy and not fact so you just know they are going to end up where they want either way, you could also say the cosmic force is what guides the space whales at this moment which is why they appeared to ashoka when she needed them

Thank you Hayden for another phenomenal performance as Anakin. He will always be my favorite character. Love the lesson he taught Ashoka. Seeing the chosen one at his true potential was amazing. His control from light to dark back to light was chefs kiss perfect. And for those wondering, Anakin and Ashoka weren't fighting. Ashoka didn't defeat Anakin. It was a lesson. Master and apprentice. The lesson was to live on and fight, and continue the legacy of masters she comes from. Stop being hung up on Anakin becoming Vader. Remember the good. Don't get hung up on what you can not control. The guilt Ashoka felt from Anakins fall to the darkside was holding her back. So he let her beat that demon in her. She destroyed the memory of Vader. Great job by Dave understanding these characters. And best wishes to your family Holden.

Glad you guys are on the mend. That sounded like quite a multi-faceted ordeal. I loved this episode so much. Hayden was fantastic. His performance was layered and wonderful as he transitioned between light and dark and back again. His physicality hasn't lost a step either. In that scene, Anakin forced Ahsoka not to give in to despair, forced her to confront her fear of becoming him, her regret at not being there to save him, and to reconcile what he became. Her spirit was so much lighter after his final lesson. She has now faced her final trials to become a jedi knight fully.

Some theories suggest that he could actually be taking the place of the Father from the Mortis arc as he is the 'balance' in the force. I've seen a lot of people not grasping the situation with Ahsoka being in TWBW physically, glad Holden was able to pick up on it right away. They wouldn't have dedicated time in the episode to talk about how Chopper's scanners would pick her up if she were out there, the X-Wing's scanners failed to find her multiple times, etc. And the length of time the search had been taking place as we were shown... her body was not in the water until her lesson in TWBW was finished and then she was put back in the water after being "reborn" or baptized.

I can relate to being overly sensitives with dealing with a baby in the hospital ... I feel for you on that Holden! Years ago my daughter had to be admitted to the hospital 3 days after we brought her home because she was jaundice. Turned out it wasn't too bad - but seeing our little baby with an IV in her hand and monitors on her chest laying there under the lamps ... I just lost it and started crying. This was from 2 weeks ago so I hope everyone is feeling better now! Really enjoy all your watch along videos for Marvel and Star Wars!!

Ariana Greenblatt , the actress that played young Ahsoka, also played young Gamora. She did a phenomenal job. This entire episode was just so damned good. Everything we wanted all rolled into one, and I cried so much. I think the lesson was to stop living in the past. She needed to let go of the past in order to live in the light. Once she did that, she was in balance again, and it showed with how much more she smiled. Also the way everything was brighter in color was so amazing as well.

Dave Filoni has stated that Ahsoka's character arc in the series is envisioned in resemblance to how Gandalf the Grey transitioned to Gandalf the White, who is wiser and more powerful and this change of outfit for her from dark robes to white robes after being in the World Between Worlds is completely deliberate and analogous to Gandalf. Basically, Anakin is her Balrog.
