In reference to yalls comments about skipping the spicy scenes in books, do you also skip the r@pe scene in the game of thrones books? Just curious how you justify that. I don't understand what reading spicy scenes has to do with being in a "Christian houshold". Especially with the fact that yall are both adults and married.

Firstly, neither one of us reads r@pe scenes in any books that we read. I understand the GoT books often describe such scenes, especially under the guise of wartime and that’s just something that happens during such events. But, because we both find it cruel and disgraceful writing, we choose to skip it. Secondly, skipping smut scenes has everything to do with our “Christian household.” My wife and I view such things in books as pornography, and therefore something that lands in the category of adultery. We do not condone those things, we do not romanticize those things, because we believe the things being described should be done behind closed doors and not for the entire world to see (or in this case read). Call us prudes, but none of it adds anything to any story, and should be avoided altogether. Thanks for you question, though!

Actually never have written a youtube comment ever but I can’t resist. Have you read any of Brandon Sanderson’s books? I have a feeling you might’ve heard of some of them but you gotta have those on your radar👀 I’ve read 7 of his books and multiple of them have left me completely mindblown. Most of my family is making their way through them and if you ever want some recs within the Cosmere (psst Mistborn) I feel like you’d like them! Love all the videos and positive vibes from both of your youtube accounts but my TBR will never recover from finding you guys😂 If y’all made a book club I’d be so in because you guys feel like talking to friends or family about books and I like your takes! :)

Awwww thank you so much!! Hey, I am grateful you find my wife’s and mine content to be appealing! We try to keep it as real as we can😂😉 So! I have heard A LOT about old Sanderson. I really need to stop dilly-dallying and just pick up one of his books. I will soon, I think🤔 I’m going to pick up Mistborn era 1 relatively soon. Sanderson content will be a thing on this channel eventually😂 A book club would be awesome!! Ash and I have kicked the idea around for a while. I think that is something I would like to pursue here real soon!!

Could you recommend me a book that gives Call Of Duty vibes, or one about female pirates? Would like to see my boyfriend reading since he seems to do once on a blue moon lol. Also for me I would like a recommendation of a short book (could be poetry for example).

Okay, so: Call of Duty: “The Forever War” by Joel Haldeman is a good start. If you want a series the “Eden Chronicles” by S. M. Anderson is pretty good! Female Pirates: “The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi” by Shannon Chakraborty is all about that! Also “Daughter of the Pirate King” by Tricia Levenseller. Now, for short books, there’s SO many to choose from. Honestly one of my favorites is “The Gunslinger” by Stephen King. But if that isn’t up your alley pretty much anything by C. S. Lewis is well worth the time! I hope this helps!!

Bro started with the number one thing every Stephen King fan says not to start with😂 I read the Gunslinger in my early twenties and I had no idea what the fuck was going on and haven't picked them up since I'm definitely going to have to reread the Gunslinger because I don't remember a thing about it

From what I’ve heard (from another booktuber), Sarah J Maas intended for ACOTAR to be a trilogy, so it makes sense that you feel it ended perfectly. I’ve only read the first book in the series, so I’m excited to see how the rest of the series goes! Also, recently found you and your wife’s channels. I found myself buying The Pariah for the exact same reason. Plan on starting it within a few days, after finishing the 3rd Licanius book. I haven't seen too much content on Covenant of Steel either so hope you do some content for it.
