Congrats bro, you have a wife who loves you. Personally, I don't feel there is much difference in the sound, it's more of a small change in brightness. The modifications are more about the feel of the player itself.

true, as All I did was to correct the measurements and the flatness of the table. tone wise in theory nothing will change as I didn't change the inside measurements of the mouthpiece. :) though you mught hear some slight enhancement in the fullness or clarity of the sound after the corrective work.

To each his own I guess. My wife suggested for me to work on it after we found out that the tip opening more like a 6*-7 rather than an 8 tip opening. before I fiddled with it I cannot put much air in it as well that's why I decided to work on it.
