If Jack could get her to come out of retirement and go on The Iced Coffee Hour, wow, he would be my hero:) She’s got an awesome, biting sense of humor which would play well between you three! She’s also got a neat “ back story” that might surprise some people and some wicked ex- husband stories.

I’m Canadian and a lot of us LOVED Gail Vaz Oxlade for her financial presence on Canadian TV. She ALSO did a more reality based show, you HAVE to try them. Both Princess and Money Moron. We all wish she’d or her network would revamp the show as this was in the 2000s BEFORE influencer culture and peak social media driven FOMO just made things 1000x worse today. She left the TV game a while back when the execs were pushing to be less realistic and grounded, out of principle. Edit: and she’s still writing books after trying her hand at Canadian Politics

I binged this show and the spin off (princess something- check that out you will love to hate it!) while I was working on paying of my debt! It always made me feel good about my situation! Now that I am debt free (except for the mortgage) it makes me sad 😔 I hope all of these people took Gayle’s advice! Oh and Gayle is a Rock Star IMO! The housing prices are going up faster than any working person could save, I was really hopeful of my investments this year, but all my plans have been disoriented, I've been studying the market crashes and I realized some investors made millions from the recent 2008 recession and I was wondering if such success rate could be achieved in this present market. Any recommendations?

The housing market didn't crash in Canada (esp. Toronto) as much as it did in the US. If they did decide to rent as opposed to continue to own the home they would be out hundreds of thousands of dollars. Although back then the rent was cheaper, rent now is insane in Toronto - while their mortgage would have stayed the same and their home would have gone up in value by A LOT. Depending on where in Toronto this house is located it could be worth $1-$1.2 M now and they'd be paying approx. $1,700-$2000 in mortgage payments a month (and by now almost close to the final 25 year amortization), but their rent would most likely be about $4,500-$5000 a month.
