My Puerto Azul story: when we were young, my father would take us on roadtrips in his car. He wanted to take us to Puerto Azul one time but did not know about the membership requirement (remember, no internet yet at the time so information is not that easy to get). It's only when we got there that we found out about it. However, non-members can still enter with a fee. I can't remember anymore how much it was, but my father thought it was too much so he ended up just driving us around Cavite and Batangas and enjoying the sceneries. Anyway, loved the vid. Batangas is one of the places I dream of moving to. And btw, try looking up Mt. Batulao. Looks like a great and scenic hike from what I saw in photos. :)

OMG! Sir Kulas, I so envy your adventurous spirit! It's like you can just go anywhere on your motorbike, on a whim, and you chance upon so many interesting "finds." I was born and raised in PH, traveled domestically for my old work, lived abroad for a third of my life and I could say I am adventurous, too, but you take it to a whole new level. Quite different from other vloggers (rivaled only by Kumander D)😅, but man you are an awesome human👍👋🥂

I've been following your vlogs for more than a year now. I was in Ternate, Cavite 44 years ago to finish a project for the electrical works in Puerto Azul, Ternate for the late Pres. Marcos- the Bamboo House on top of Puerto Azul Resort and Country Club in 1980. The previous engineer quit to migrate to the US so I was chosen to finish the project in 6 months which I did. After finishing the project I got a job offer and joined a new construction company as the head of the electrical department and left 2 years later for Saudi Arabia. After I left the Bamboo House, Brook Shields visited the place with other celebrities. I'm now retired here in California, USA with my own family.

Bwahaha!!! I love your vlogs, Kulas. You relieve my home-sickness AND you make me laugh. When you said you called your motor "Angkol," I laughed so hard, my husband came from the other room wondering. Not only is your use of the term so Pinoy, it's also SOOO Bisaya, dong!!! 😂😂😂 When you were going around Cavite, I was waxing nostalgic. We used to go to a place called Lido Beach in Noveleta (I think). I think I went to Puerto Azul once for a wedding, but it didn't impress me much, I guess. That rice-drying on the road also made me nostalgic. Back in the 80s, when we went home to Capiz for summer, the roads were always laid out with drying rice. So much so that buses and cars had to stagger going in each direction to zigzag between huge beds of palay. And lastly, hindi ka pa fully Pinoy if you don't eat Chicharon Bulaklak! Lol. They clean it very well! You HAVE to try it! 😂 Looking forward to your next. Much love to Therine. Ang ganda ng mga small parol! Are they bamboo or some other material? Looks like a banig weave pattern. So nice. Here in Sg, you know if there's Pinoys in a house at Xmas, because of the parol. 😂

I had also visited the place in 2000s but so sad to see the place is not well maintained but you could see the greatness of the Filipino architecture that is still timeless till todate ❤❤❤.

Hi Kulas! Pico de Loro means "a parrot's beak" because the summit looks like a parrot's beak if seen from afar. My ex-boyfriend and I camped there back in 2006 and stayed there overnight. We climbed the summit and it had a magnificent view of Manila Bay and Corregidor Island from afar. My hubby and I are hoping to see you in person in BGC soon, Kulas! Power on!

I remember going there (Puerto Azul and also Punta Balwarte) with my family and our whole tennis club in the late 1970s. Yup, they were sosyal. Playground of the rich and famous back then. The people we encountered there were of a societal class higher than us. Hahaha and didn't mingle with us. Then went there a few times after in the mid to late 80s with my then girlfriend and now my wife of 32 years now. Lots of memories there. Really sad when it closed down. I guess during the era when the locals and foreigners "discovered" the beautiful, world class now world famous beaches down south. Nice video by the way, as always. Ride safe always, hopefully run across you on the roads one of these days.

Kyle - For safety, never let your wife walk next to the street in PI. You should walk between the road and her, so you can push her away in case a motorcycle or car comes too close.

You went past Caylobne, I spent two weeks there when my wife and I were first dating. We stayed at the resort there. I remember it fondly! The airlines lost my luggage but found it the next day. Since it was the Easter holiday, they wouldn't deliver it. They provided transportation in an old truck, no aircon, old wooden seats to the airport in Manila. It took a few hours to get there. I went in and picked up my luggage. It was so hot, so I paid for a taxi with aircon to get back to Caylobne Resort . It was quite an adventure. The resort was great though, good food. It was great memories!! Saw Filippine Eagles! Talked to a Filipino Soldier and we talked for a while! I enjoyed the water there also. I remember passing Puerto Azul!

@lucyintheskywithdi4monds3 ай бұрын
What do u mean nothing exciting? Laguna imo has the best of both worlds, lush nature and urban metropolis. Also, Pila is a beautiful heritage town. Even better than Vigan to me, and that is coming from someone who is from Vigan.
