@@Debstool The fact that channels launch instantly happens even on a real Wii. In the video of GameSpot "We got a Wii" few days before the console launch in the US , they have the same 1.0U firmware, and when they launch game, the screen goes black immediatly, and the sounds of the banner screen continues to play after you press "Start". In fact this is a bug of 1.0U firmware, on the PAL and NTSC-J version (1.0E, and 1.0J), this bug dosen't happens, they already fixed this at the time for others areas.

Tip: it seems like the settings error appears differently for everyone. For me it shows as an Internet Channel error

That's because the settings runs off opera. Something is wrong in the nand, it'll usually error because it can't find the file

I dont think hbc works on 1.0 i could be mistaken though. If you update it by normal means nothing interesting happens its just a normal wii. Wiis on 1.0 also likely have the strncomp bug but other than that its not any more exploitable than other wiis.

Future viewers there's some context about this startup disk Well there is actually no clear answer for the use of it but people said in the past that the disk was used for wii display in stores like gamestop and the id for the disk was found but at the current moment *15/04/24* I don't have information about the id of the disk If the comment is edited and it has the id in it it means I found it

Get dolphin emulator get NUSdownloader and go to database then system menu. Click any system menu version you want and the region your dolphin emulator is set in. Make sure to click pack WAD before you start the download. Then go into dolphin emulator. Then go into tool and install wad. Go to were the NUSdownlaoder file is located and then click on it. Go into titles then go through the files until you find the wad file. Install it then ur done

Sorry, the deal with the disk is that quite literally no consumers has ever had it. It was mentioned on the day 1 boxes, but it wasn’t included. Even the few people who were unlucky enough to get units that needed the disk didn’t get it, and had to send their Wii’s back to Nintendo.
