All those colours are GORGEOUS..my favourite charity shop saves bits of nice fabric from damaged clothing, duvets, and curtains, and sells them for pennies for quilts, patchwork, and new clothes.

@senaaileigh3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for jumping in, but how did you go about it?! Did you just slice down the front and add a button placket?
@alphie3333 жыл бұрын
@@senaaileigh so I just didn’t cut the front on fold and added a few inches for a placket! And then for the skirt I cut it as normal but flipped it so the seam was in the front. I don’t think I added any extra inches for that one since it’s already got a lot of yardage in it!

Hi Janelle, It's always fun to see your plans for your fabric stash and I look forward to watching the garments come to life. Towards the end of the video when you talk about the Laura Ashley dress, you showed a pink checked dress that made me think the green shirred fabric would suit that style quite well. I feel the texture of that fabric is a bit too much for the Reformation style dress. Whereas the full style of the Laura Ashley design would be maximised by using the green fabric. Just a thought ♥ The jacket you made recently is fabulous. Despite living in a climate similar to yours, I never wear coat or jackets - I love ponchos (a bit of a 70s hangover LOL) and wraps. But since watching that video have found myself looking at fabrics with jackets in mind! I hope you had a wonderful time in QLD and had plenty of opportunity to wear your pretty dresses.
