I listened to this song for the first time because my mom wants to dance with me to this song at my wedding. I hurt my mom so much with my drug addiction to heroin the last 11 years, many struggles and regrets from the pain I caused her and my father. This made me cry and it takes so much for me to cry. I sometimes feel emotionally numb. Crying to this made me feel like I am a real person again , and crying felt so good. I'm in the back of the work truck with my coworkers wearing my sunglasses and I have tears rolling down my eyes hiding them. I pray I stay straight and can be healed from the pain I have caused myself and her. God thank you, help me do the right thing and relieve me from my burdens.

I am a birth mom... I made a heart breaking choice with my husband of adoption a few years ago and this song is for my baby girl. It is an open adoption and I love her more than she will probably ever know. But being a mom I had to do what was best for her... Put her needs first... He had Epilepsy (just like me), but only had seizures during the night. He'd tense up during them and roll whichever way his body forced him to and for the first time.........rolled on his face into his pillow. I didn't hear from him by 8:00a.m. and started to worry. Waited until 10:00p.m. when he didn't show up for work 'til I allowed myself to consider the possibility of a seizure. His 2 friends, Dad, and I ended up driving to his house (45min drive in thick fog) and busting his door down.

This song really helped me with the passing of my great uncle and my great grandpa. My great grandpa died only 8 days before my great uncle. My great grandpa was the most nice, and open person I ever met. He taught me so much in life. Then 8 days later my world stopped again because my great uncle and my great grandma's dog I knew my whole life died 2 hours apart. My great uncle went through a lot. He fell from a telephone line while working and became disabled and had to have his leg amputated. This song taught me to not take life for granted and to make the best out of the little moments because one day you won't have those people in your life that make you happy.

Remove from the heat and sprinkle in the yeast and 1/4 teaspoon sugar (don't stir). Set aside until foamy, 5 minutes. Whisk in the melted butter, egg yolk and vanilla. Whisk the flour, the remaining 1/4 cup sugar, the salt and nutmeg in the bowl of a stand mixer. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture. Mix on low speed with the dough hook until thick and slightly sticky. Knead on medium speed until the dough gathers around the hook, 6 minutes. (Add up to 2 more tablespoons flour if necessary.) Remove the dough and shape into a ball. Butter the mixer bowl and return the dough to the bowl, turning to coat with butter. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled, 1 hour 15 minutes. Roll out the dough, fill and cut into buns (see instructions below). Butter a 9-by-13-inch baking pan; place the buns cut-side down in the pan, leaving space between each. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled, 40 minutes. Preheat the oven to 325. Bake the buns until golden brown, about 35 minutes. Cool in the pan 15 minutes. Meanwhile, make the glaze: Sift the confectioners' sugar into a bowl, then whisk in the cream and melted butter. Transfer the buns to a rack and spoon the glaze on top while still warm. How to Form Cinnamon Buns 1. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a 12-by-14-inch rectangle with the longer side facing you. 2. Spread with the softened butter, leaving a 1/2-inch border on the far long edge. Mix the sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over the butter. 3. Brush the unbuttered far edge with water. Roll the dough away from you into a tight cylinder and press on the long edge to seal. 4. Cut the cylinder with a sharp knife to make 6 equal-size buns.

How’s your mom? Doing any better? I sure hope so. I grew up with a mom who chose drugs over me, men over me, alcohol over me. At the time, it felt like she’d chose anything BUT me. I know your pain. I always told my mom that I loved her and forgave her. She never forgave herself. She passed away in November at the young age of 52...followed a month later by her husband. I wish I could just hold her one more time. Even if she were drunk or high, I’d still want to hold her one more time. I hope she knew just how much I loved her.

Hailey Adams no worries! I’ve had time to cope and I know he’s in a better place. I’m just waiting until I can see him again. It was very hard at first, but it got easier, and I love thinking of him because it’s all happy memories. We never fought he was just my big brother.
