What a great video! Thank you so much. I have a special interest in prose poetry - so I am really looking forward to the upcoming video.

You're doing so much literary analysis lately, Eleanor! Or maybe we're just seeing it more often.

I think I would accept the terms 'accessible' & 'obscure' as descriptors when describing certain poetry, fiction & philosophy (especially some continental varieties). I think they can be helpful categories, but maybe I place too value on communication. This is an unresolved pickle over the last 100 years or so, isn't it? My thoughts on this make me feel very traditional (even conservative), which is in itself unsettling - odd times...

Hehe yes ... sometimes when I've reached my limit of obscure (I like that word, thanks) poetry I swing to the other extreme and am indeed surprised at how traditional / conservative I suddenly sound lol. I'm so curious what the future of poetry holds and hope to live long enough to experience as much as possible.

I am encouraging my prosody teacher to write a book because I'm convinced that at some point in the (hopefully) near future writing in metre and rhyme will become the new avant-garde in a strange way that we cannot even imagine right now. And those kids will be clamouring to know their iambs from their trochees.
