Someone that has had knees can always recognize that walk ! I’ll be 54 in August and mine are like yours and I’m about ready also. Good luck ! Hope it goes great ! I’ll definitely be interested to hear how the recovery goes ! Take care Steve

Thanks Tony, at 49 they call this an "early age knee replacement" good to hear my age is still early for something besides bedtime!

Recoup and recover. PT sucks but it's worth it in the end. Best of luck. Oh and nice idea for the light. Being able to spin it is a great idea.

Nice Steve, I hope your knee hooks up well. Wishing you the best!

Thanks Dana! My doc said 600,000 new knees per year in the US, they got it down now so I'm hopeful. My part is easy, take nap, wake up sore!

Nice way to take the rest of the summer off...I wouldn't wish that on anyone though having to go through surgery to get time off. You'll be good as new in no time, you've got a good attitude about it all and I feel you'll jump right back into things as soon as you can. Nice addition to the boiler, it's nice to be able to see what you're working with!!

Great solution. Man, buy a stationary bike or stationary bike pedals. It is really gonna suck but the faster your are moving the better. Speedy recovery my friend.

Got my right knee Feb 27. Pretty much do what I want to now. Yeah, still sore. Take all the therapy you can because it really helps. I walked a couple hours after the surgery. A high commode really helps with hand holds on the wall. Trim your toenails good before surgery. Heck to reach afterward. When you forget where you left the walker and the cane you are thru with them. A bed you can slide out of and stand realky helps. My new one feels much better than the other old one but it's not bone on bone but it is covered in arthritis. Shots for now. I wanted it done. 3 and a half months out now. I'd wait 4 months before another. With the time lag on the vids you are probably ready for the second one now

Glad yours is better. Went in for my last pre op appointment this morning. Headed to KY for 8 days on Thursday, back for a few then Northern Wisconsin for the 4th the First knee 7/10 so now I'm just trying to get everything done. I figured cut the grass, hadn't thought about the toe nails LOL

@@buildlife slip on shoes. Loose socks. Sore as can be. Not much crawling around in life these days. Would do it again in a heart beat. Home health should fix you up with walker and commode beside bed. Urinal bottle. Tough first few days but it gets better. No butt kickin contestd

@@samhill3496 Ha this is almost word for word my dad's text. He got a new knee (concrete guy for 40 years) a few years ago. He gave me a walker, ice machine, cane and crutches. I told him I'd get my own pee bottle LOL! Out patient so they say bring my own walker and they want to see it pre op. Walk after recovery and home that night!

@@upinsmokefirewood that's what I did. Some couldn't believe it but heck I was ready to get outa there. The first step into the Escalade was a tall one. Then the climb up the double stairs really got me going. But all good. When I did that I knew it was in the right direction. Don't be shy with the meds and tylenol 650's. It hurts no kidding. Trying to kick the cover off wrapped around your foot is crap. Breath taking. It's worth it
