Franken HE switches - we have arrived at this point. I remember when this was just taking off in 2019 within the mechanical keyboards community and we got some insane switch combinations like black cherry pie. Cant wait to see more HE switches drop and people trying combinations. Best part is, if you have Wooting60HE+ module, you can have pcb mounted stabs, PC plate/foam and frankenswitches to top it all off.

To truly achieve the best sound profile you need the new 60HE+ module with betters stabs and drastically better spacebar (if you don’t at least use an oring on the base model to improve it) and while this might be arguable the best sounding case I believe is the new tofu60 redux with brass weight (Idk if you did in the video but use tape mode and burger mount ofc ) and as far as keycaps go I believe wooting pbt sets are the best fit for the sound. That said there are no videos on youtube where they compare all type of switches so it be of great help if you did , since in the last few months alone so many new ones came out

The key wobble on my stock 60he was so distracting. Swapped to the lekker v2's, and it's solved. Idgaf about sound. It's a gaming board. I bought it to deadzone into enemy heads-not to track my next song with. The raw switches, are probably better too. They don't let you use RGB though, and for my board I need that to help remind me what key does what on the function layers I have set up.

I've actually been contemplating getting the Gateron Jade's. They have roughly the same specs as the L45's but have a slightly shorter bottom out distance: 3.5mm compared to 4mm for the L45's. Though I have to say, I'm very happy with my L45's 🤔😅

I would definitely consider the Gateron Jade Mahjong's. The Raptors are an improvement over the Lekkers but not as refined as the Jade's imo

Those keys that you saw were already the frankenswitches that I made with the stem of the lekker and housing of the raptors later in the video. I was testing out the combo before replacing all my keys to see if it was worth it. And as far as the performance of the stock raptors. I noticed no difference in rapid trigger performance or the adjustable actuation

Forget any of these switches, the Gateron Jade's are the most refined I've tested thus far. Gateron also have dual rails coming out so that's always an option to wait a bit

It’s unlikely that you’re gonna be getting the ability to take advantage of the Hall effect switches without the $200+ keyboard because the keys are only the hardware, what makes them so incredibly good is the software and it’s unlikely anyone would release a competitive software system for the switches alone as it’d be a huge profit loss in the entire market. The Wooting software is so insane that literally no one has managed to compete with it in years

@@xRealUzz i own both(got the wooting early on, got apex pro tkl because i need more keys because i play mmos sometimes), apex pro tkl is functionally better than the wooting, better switches, more responsive rapid trigger, switching profiles etc, although wooting has way better build quality. the only other thing holding back the apex pro is the terrible bloated software. once you set it up it's actually better than the wooting though(gaming-wise), though the wooting is better for general use. oh one other thing to note is that you can't use most keycaps with the apex pro tkl because of their weird ass LED placement on the switches

@@lxcky8388 If the PCB detects the magnet, it will read it as if its a lekker switch. So there's not really any calibration in the software. (Although everytime you turn on the keyboard the board will auto-calibrate by itself)
