A difficult - but surprisingly fun weekend in Long Beach getting accustomed to our new S650 Mustangs as we drift the Streets of Long Beach! AS always - thankful to be a part of the team and to be able to bring you guys along for the ride. Every $5 spent on LZMFG.com gets you entered for a chance to win the Supra and $20,000 cash.

If he earned his way into FD he would have had to compete 1 or 2 years in Pro 2.. but instead he bought himself into FD, and Vaughn and Chelsea noticed and lets call it how it is, its a buisness decision from Vaughn, not a friend decision. 8 million new eyes in RTR and Ford Mustangs, also FD let him in most likely to get more viewers on events and it worked.. Live Streams went from 2-3thousand loyal Drift Fans, to being spammed by noobs that were only there to see LZ and FD loved it. But now, RTR is a drift team and they need results too, its not just about viewers, free views dont pay the bills..

Love all you show in the video and how you talk about your runs and how you are still learning along the way. It gets to me when I see people post negatively about young upcoming drivers. It's all a learning experience to get to where some of those drivers are. Nobody starts out perfect and i love your merch... presuit of perfection! It was good to chat with you at the signing and with you and Vaughn at the pit party. My son has been following you for about 3 years now and hopes to someday be where you are. He has lots to learn and we're hoping he too will get to learn from the best along his journey. He's been fixing up his 350z we bought him and he'll be doing some lessons in Texas in June and Japan in July. Can't wait until FD in Orlando next month. Hope we get to chat again! @JaredBeaucage
@JaredBeaucage Жыл бұрын
He got to the level with money and fans.. He never struggled to be so good at drifting that he went broke to go do.. Chelsea Denofa, did that, Vaughn Gittin did that, and James Deane did also, Adam started it because he couldnt find anything else after BMX and he wasn't remarkable at BMX, spent most of the time speaking to a camera. Which nothing wrong with that, but it really really shows and how annoyed Chelsea or Vaughn seem when adam is horsing around filming rather then putting 100% into the drifting. At the end of the day, Adam is on a team that is the best of the best and he shouldnt be there to the pure drift enthusiasts, million dollar team with a amateur driver that lets emotions get in the way of drifting. Adam Lz has loyal fans and FD needs young Fans so he was welcomed in and Gittin capitalized on this also, even if 10 fans out of 8 million subscribers buy a RTR every year, hes doing well. 8 million people young and oldbknow about a RTR mustang, and Formula Drift. Adam has realized this is not his calling and is looking at other avenues, instead of looking like a fool every weekend and always blaming the car, at some point its not the car it becomes the driver( and the drivers mind, the mind and feelings can ruin a FD run. . Its only 30 seconds but so many calculations are being done in that time frame and Adam brings it back to the car not himself.
@JaredBeaucage
@JaredBeaucage Жыл бұрын
Lets also talk about, Chelsea Denofa, Fredric Aasabo, Forest Wang, Ryan Tureck, James Deane, Daigo Saito, Deane Kearny, Chris Forsberg, Vaughn Gittin, all those drivers starved to become professional drifters. And notice they all go into kill mode when the battles come, they dont make excuses they take what they have and drive the car to its abilitys and rarely discuss car setup, why is that? Because drifting has not changed that much in 10 years, setups stay roughly the same and rear end gears and rebound are all pre-set and they make small adjustments and absolutely stab any other driver like Adam or the pro 2 drivers. Its a flick of the switch and they earned their right to be on the big stage.. Adam, he had fans and KZbin exposure. And yea sure he did drifting for fun but he looks great next to new drivers at grassroots events but absolutely clams up in FD, and doesnt focus on putting the car in the right spots. RTR and Ford want championships and LZ hinders that, 1 million dolllar team goes to the FD event to repair or tweak LZs car every round cause he complains about it and on camera Chelsea has literally got fed up and walked away last year. The energy is way off, a d thats big money to pour at a driver for nothing to come of it.
@JaredBeaucage
@JaredBeaucage Жыл бұрын
@KZbin Konto Thats exactly it.. and every event I hear Adam saying "i feel" and "i think" ... and denofa is always talking solutions, but Adam always wants to look for the excuse to why he cant drive Chelsea or Vaughns Setup.. so he gets Deanes Setup and loops it,, he has no experience in setting a car up for himself.. so he will never be a great in Drifting, like Daigo, or Chelsea or Deane... Maybe a Great KZbinr but in the drift culture, hes low on the totum pole.

@@-deathdesire-2749 I remember Adam saying that too. But he is struggling in the Mustang. That is a fact. When you see how he performs in other platforms it’s not driver skill that’s the problem, It’s a lack of seat time. Adam could buy and run a RTR practice car at the compound regularly. Investing in his driving makes sense. He is a multi millionaire, if a RTR Mustang at the compound will help his driving. Then why not do that.

Adam LZ: “i’ve touched on this topic a few times, but its pretty hard to explain. There are so many custom parts that make these cars drive the way they do… in order to activate the grip and make it worthwhile it would need to be 800hp+ and be a very similar chassis. The cost would probably be in the neighborhood of $200,000 and would cost roughly $10,000-$20,000 everytime the car runs which is just not feasible. Building a more simple car wouldn’t really translate anything other than vehicle placement - and wouldn’t be competitive or economical to drive from a consumables standpoint so i couldn’t see myself actively chasing it.” -Adam LZ, members only Q&A, April 9, 2023
