Hey Adam, I don't know if you got this checked out already, but you should definitely get the ulnar collateral ligament in your thumb looked at. Where the bruising is and the probable mechanism of the injury (thumb pushed backwards as your hand got shoved into the steering wheel) looks a LOT like "skier's thumb". It won't show up on an x-ray! You will need an ultrasound. I did the same thing a few years ago falling off a motorbike and if that is what's happened YOU WILL NEED EMERGENCY SURGERY to re-attach the ligament within a week! If it gets left longer than that the probability of a successful recovery reduces dramatically. When it happened to me I got told at the ER and by a GP that the thumb was fine based on an x-ray, but I eventually got an ultrasound and they found the ligament was fully ruptured; I had emergency surgery 2 days later, and thankfully recovered fully. Your injury looks identical to mine. Please please please get it checked out, because if the ligament is ruptured and doesn't get repaired it can be a really debilitating injury... You essentially can't ever "grip" between your thumb and fingers again.

Man… my best friend was a huge fan of yours and introduced me to your channel back in the BMX days and we both watched you blossom into a fkn FD driver! Like what! But I just wanted to let the people know that what you said is 1000% true about doing everything right and being as safe as possible but something can go wrong and there is nothing you can do. He crashed on a motorcycle about 3 months ago, someone made a left in front of him and he died on impact. He was an experienced rider and a safe and cautious person, shit was literally just supposed to be a quick ride around the block. There’s really no one to blame specifically here, it really sucks extra cuz it happened less than a block away from my house. Always remember that there are a lot of factors with things like this but the only thing you can do is reduce and minimize your risk factors, however, you can never control the actions of someone else. R.I.P Michael, love you dude.

Dude I’m just really glad everyone’s fine and just hearing Adam talking about the risks of driving in this type of environment really opened my eyes in a way that sometimes even if you drive well someone can come up and do something that will result in an accident. Once again I’m glad everyone is ok and I hope both of you have a speedy recovery ❤❤

LOL I understand what you're saying I responded a minute ago saying unfortunately technically that both of her fall but I know Adam can drive clearly they do not cuz they were speeding too to go that far off the hill and stuff I live near that road and was involved in a big accident and I was somewhat speeding but I got clipped in the left rear wheel and yeah from his mistake five people died in my situation to sum it up that road will test The Best of you and then laugh at you for doing it I knew it was busy the weekend it was a crap sandwich served I'm just glad everybody's okay you've only got one life...

I think the theory of her having too much speed to be going for the pull off and her trying to apex the corner may actually be correct, her husband was going quite fast and she wasn’t far behind implying that she’s driving hard to keep up with him. @@chriswywh that is a huge consideration, I can’t tell how fast they were going but if he was speeding at the moment he needed to react then that can make Adam at fault. He did mention the road was pretty busy though, so they very well could have been driving the speed limit at the time.
