Once I had a group where everyone was doing their best to survive, but when we reached the heart and we had prepared with all the supplies, the engineer dipped 3 of 4 supply drops, so we all shot them, made them watch us do the job, took the heartstone, called the drop pod and left him. A fitting end to a 12 time dipper.

@@vondawson7530 I think you get like a 10-20% cut of what you would get if you're kicked and 50-90% of what you would get if you got knocked out. I'm not too sure, but it's definitely way less than if you stayed and got left behind. The main thing is that just 1 survivor is enough to bring more cash than if you were all knocked out.

In defense of the two other drillers at the end, it looks like they were trying to do the drill strat. Idk if it still works, but at one point the drills could instantly delete the floating rocks even at full health. It's likely they were just as focused on the rocks as you were, and so the bugs got them. The true killer was ultimately an unfortunate lack of communication of strategies. A pitfall of mid-high level lobbies in DRG; with a higher assumed base knowledge, its easier to make biased assumptions about your teammates being on the same page as you. But management doesn't pay us to complain, so order a round, grab your pick, and let's go again! ROCK AND STONE FOREVER!

Pro tip: if you have a good squad you can just ignore the rocks and have one guy repair to save ammo

engineer can build a roof over Dotty to block the rocks, but he has to maintain it because they chew holes in it over time. You can also repair Dotty from the ground, if you go behind and look at one of the hinges on her fuel pod covers, at the right angle it'll give you a repair prompt.

This is why you main Combat Scout. GK2 with Armor Breaking and specced for ammo and dps absolutely SHREDS mass quantities of grunts, and can clear the skys in a pinch just by hopping targets and bursting 3-10 rounds(depending on enemy) and can singlehandedly protecc from rocks. Then for the secondary, Bodkin Points Crossbow built for max damage turns into a delete 3 grunts key, and zappy bolts pins down all big enemies with ease regardless of armor; 3 bolts can doom an oppressor, and 6 can bring a bulk to a Dead Stop, opening it up for joint fire. Then for the grenade, use rhe zaparang; It pins down about 9 targets from ABSURD range, homes in, and can oneshot swarmers, shredders, or naedocytes, making it a GREAT swarmthinner, and it stops anything praetorian or smaller in its tracks outright, plus the armor breaking DPS GK2 can take out praets in a clip and change, or about 8 seconds.

platforms block rocks- but I've had quite a few similar uh... strange encounters with randos online like once I joined a refining mission as driller, and I was the only driller in the group so I immediately drilled out 3 tunnels, one to each pump, and I stated so in chat someone else in the group took a pipeline, walked it past my tunnel for that pump, hand pick-axed out some of the terrain so they could take the pipe over the hill, continued putting the pipe OVER my tunnel okay well maybe he didnt see it or didn't know where it went so I joined him on the hill, started mining out some of the larger rock formations to make a more direct path up there and he took the pipe AROUND MY PATH- ive never been more insulted by someone who didnt say a word

You think that’s bad? Buddy let me tell you a story… Let’s call it “one terrible day on Hoxxes” It starts off with me and 2 other guys playing gunner. We chose a hazard level 4 egg hunt mission in the snowy depths with a Lithophage Virus modifier. We drop in and the first thing we encounter is all 3 lithophage spawns in the first cave. We call the cleaners but get hit by a massive swarm and snow storm. We all went down at least 12 times during the entire ordeal, either fighting the horde of infected glyphids or terrible Litho leech’s gnawing on our legs. We didn’t even get to clearing up the Lithophage before a bulk detonator the size of Dubai comes stomping our way in the middle of snow storm. We kill it with the last of our ammo and destroy the 3 Lithophages. This was only the first quarter of the hell we were in for as with no ammo reserves and barely any Nitra in sight we find the first egg. We called in the one resupply we could and restocked, my teammates elected me for the double dip as I did the most weak point damage. We pop the egg and guess what boss it is? A Super dreadnaught hivemind (I think that’s the name) We all groaned as the fight began knowing how much ammo we were gonna need to kill this thing. After running out of ammo we dip and dive around the iced room, dodging the super dread naught and praying for nitra. Our team was getting slaughtered, each of us downed more times to this beast then the Lithophage incident. Then by gods graces, we find one in a nearby cave… nitra! We restock and cheer as we deplete the last of the dreadnaughts hive minds health. It even ended in a climatic finish where all of us rushed to pick-axe the bastards rear end. Of course this resulted in two of us downing to the explosives it left behind. However, we had survived and were empowered. We felt like we could beat this. We even found more Nitra and we’re ready to obliterate this final boss. Unfortunately, reality hit us… HARD. The last boss was the Glyphid twins and a terrible swarm closing in. We fought hard but found ourselves running out of ammo faster then you could down drinks at the bar. Didn’t help the twins could heal with the cover of the swarm to protect them. There was even a bulk detonator squared in the center of the room. This seemed like an impossible task. Until one of us, god bless his heart, had a genius idea. “Kill the bulk detonator and have it instant kill one of the twins!” What a genius idea it was. We lured the detonator into the red twin, killed it and watched as the red twin left existence. We were cheering, both bewildered by the plan succeeding and excited by the thought we would actually make it out of this alive. We unload on the yellow twin, wiping it in a terrifying barrage of Rockets, cannon fire, and bullets. We watched the bar disappear and immediately smashed the button on molly. No snowstorm, oppressor, or hell, even god himself could stop us. We passed and fought all manner of bugs as we blitz’d towards the drop pod but that did not matter. We were we’re gonna make it out. …And that we did. This one mission took 1:31:43 I will never forget that mission, nor the pals I experienced it with
