That’s so appalling Danisha - as a white southern English person would they have ever asked my cultural background? Probably not. If they had and I told them my ancestors are from Scotland would they have made me try and do a Scottish accent? Definitely not! So why on earth would they think it’s acceptable or necessary to ask of you?? You put all of this so beautifully and sensitively though and I’m so happy you’re feeling more confident again - an experience like this would’ve had me questioning if I even wanted to do auditions anymore❤️

Thankyou so much Amy for taking the time to listen, when you put it like that it seems awful and just very random. I appreciate your insight so much, I'm glad I was able to get through it's sad to think that they could have put an end to my love for acting just through that one audition :( but with all the support of friends, family and teachers I've come out of it stronger ❤️
