One of the things i've noticed while watching your matches is how patient you are. I've gassed out so many times because I have just gone 110% and gas out in the first minute and half, not realizing that patience, technique, and pacing your self effectively wins matches. Definitely gonna work on it more.

Cayden! I heard you mention how everyone can’t be a college wrestler forever, which is a very true reality. However, I think considering jiu jitsu post college would be an awesome way for you to continue your videos and not only that, but continue onto a new journey of martial arts and begin an entirely knew sport from the beginning. I would also love to see you bring your wrestling background into it. From one fellow wrestler to another who has made the transition into bjj, I wish you the best this season!

Cayden all I ever did mainly were double legs. I think the reason you keep getting caught with them reaching behind during your shots is that theres a split second delay or hesitation at the bottom once you've connected with the legs. What could help if you can't keep driving through is to pivot your legs asap like a high c.
@CaydenHenschel Жыл бұрын
Ya, I’ve noticed I sometimes take a small step back too in regard to low single or double, playin around with new stuff
@scal7122 Жыл бұрын
So turn the corner and drive after making contact? I make this mistake too i get in on a good deep double and my momentum stops.
@ejgaming6596 Жыл бұрын
@@scal7122 Yeah, you can study JB's double leg for driving through (drop low, shoot at an upwards angle). Turning the corner only works if your head is up, the problem is many just opt to drop the head and hope for a waterfall/scramble. You'd want to turn the corner when they hip hard or try to sprawl bc it basically gets your torso away from under. The key is no hesitation, try drilling the move as one motion with no pausing anywhere during the shot.

I was kind of upset that you didn't go for the takedown to make it 7-2. But, after hearing your post match thoughts, I understand why you kept it close. Better to be cautious and assume than to be ambitious and give up points. The women's soccer team has that philosophy at my University and they finished the Conference season with only 1 loss and a tie. Edit: I was confused at first but then remembered takedowns are three points now. I personally love the change.

Yo, I love your videos. Last year, I was a freshman in Hs, and I was my schools Jr high starting wresler, and your videos inspired me to go hard, but I have a bit of a predicament. So two years ago, my head wrestling coach for my Hs got a job being an athletic director, so he left and took my jr high coach with him. A lot of our state placer left, so be it. We got a new coach we had 2 hw in varsity so its getting to the end of the year for the jr and I want to leave well as it turns out the hw gets hurt the other one is ineligible and the coach wants me to wrestle I said no. For context, I was an undersized hw for jr high. I was between 230 and 225. This was also my 4th year wrestling. A couple of days later, i go to my counclers and try to get my schedule changed. Apparently, he told my counselor not to let me and my other jr high. teamate out. Eventually, my mom came up to the school and talked to the counselor and coach. Then, after that, i finally got out. Long story short, I don't want to wrestle for my coach, and I might quit, lol sorry for the rant, and thank you. For reading
