Minoth IS old man Cole. Mythra and Malos recognized him after watching his play. He's been writing stories as a hobby ever since he was born to Amalthus. So in a way he's the only one who knows the true history of the world after the Aegis War. oh and I assure you, Amalthus smothered the baby, so Minoth was deeply hurt after seeing him go that far and fall into such deep darkness of despair.

I really love the characterisation for Addam here and the difference between him and Rex. It was said Addam couldn't use the third sword - her powers as Pneuma. Obviously he know who Mythra was, he heard and saw what Malos did so it is pretty natural that he felt worry, fear and uncertainty when he resonated with her. Rex didn't have that. he awoke her in peace time. He didn't know what happend 500 years ago. He could see her as a person first and as the Aegis second something i think Addam wasn't quiet capable off. And plus we saw how the driver affects the blade he awakes a lot. we saw that with Malos and Amalthus. So all of Addams doubts must have affected Mythra during Resonance too. Maybe that is why she is so emotional and not always in full control of herself and her powers. (There is also the fan theory that Addam was thinking of the "big upcoming event" we learned about in the sidequest "community spirit" and that is why Mythra is so immature)

Minoth hears the baby crying as he approaches the house, but then the crying stops and they both talk about the baby in the past tense. Amalthus DEFINITELY killed the baby, which they OBVIOUSLH had to have be an implied off-screen death. Thats also likely why Minoth stopped trusting Amalthus anymore, he knows Amalthus lied when he asked him how the baby died. He had just heard it crying minutes ago, but Amalthus says “I was too late” On a side note, it makes sense why Amalthus killed the baby. It would have grown up as an orphan just like him, a fate he considers worse than death. He likely thought he was being merciful

Torna is possibly the best DLC i've ever played in a game. The refinements and improvements in so many aspects mechanically are brilliant, but I struggle to ever replay it because it's just so damn sad as you know what's going to happen. But Adam is pure Zeke Himbo crossed with Rex jovality. I love it.

On the matter of the sidequests being mandatory to a point, the whole purpose is for you to learn about/build a connection with all the people of Torna. The impact of the story is WAY MORE because of that connection.

it definitely did! the battle feels so much more fast paced and i love that we could play as the blades!

Torna definitely feels a lot more polished, such as how collectibles work, the campsite mechanic, and being able to re-read tutorials. The voice-acting is improved, mainly because there was no rush to get it released on the Switch's launch year (which is the problem Xenoblade 2's main game had). The sad thing is that Torna was originally meant to be part of the main game (I guess as 'flashback chapters' between various main chapters. Either that or mixed in with the chapters from 2, though that seems harder), which could mean the quality-of-life improvements in Torna could have been part of the overall product had it not had a Holiday 2017 deadline. I hope that Xenoblade 3's DLC story is even bigger. I have faith in Takahashi to give full closure to the 'Klaus Saga' of Xenoblade Chronicles. (3 is confirmed as the finale to the story that began with Klaus's experiment that served as the background of both 1 and 2, even though Xenoblade Chronicles itself will have more entries in the future..which is good since I do want a follow-up to X and its universe)

Currently at 18:22 when typing this. Personal Head-cannon When Addam mentions that he’s never seen anyone pass the weapon between each other when fighting I interpreted it as the way we have the blade combos in the main game, like when you use the different level specials and the blade will take the weapon back from the driver in order to fight. I like to imagine that Jin and Lora created that fighting style and then Addam started using it which would then be seen more by everyone. Which would skyrocket it’s popularity. Thus making it just how all drivers and blades fight the way we see today. It’s probably not the case but I like thinking of it like that.

@@skyeifer its what i derived from that too, they also discussed it in 1:05:37 as well. Meaning during Torna times (this game) and before, Drivers and blades fight individually of their own will instead of the blade system we see in the main game. Its kinda funny yet fascinating that Lora's team being broke actually created/laid the foundation of the fighting style that drivers adopted in the future leading up to the main game, highly possibly due to Addam's influence as the hero of the Aegis war.

- That's right - the modern Driver/Blade combat style was birthed by a team that was short on cash. - It's funny how much more childish both Aegises are in this time - Mythra being bratty and cocky, while Malos is being a violent delinquent. - Only an Ardainian could love Mythra's cooking. No, I'm serious - there are Ardainians that really love her "unique" flavor, if only because Mor Ardain grub is about as gross. - Praetor and quaestor are political positions in old Rome. - Fonsett Village doesn't exist yet, remember? - Addam was cloaked in the main game's flashbacks because the devs had yet to lock down his appearance at the time.

I love torna so much It looks so much better than the maingame and plays smoother and the field skills are not a pain in the ass. without the pacing issues and the mandatory sidequests it would be a 10/10. i get why they did that way but it is always not the best experience when they lock story progression behind optional stuff. They did something similar in Xenoblade X and nobody liked it. But at least the sidequests are a lot better than the maingame and give some characters more screentime. And god the soundtrack for this DLC is so amazing. I really hope the Xenoblade 3 DLC is gonna be on the same level or even better.

yeahh i'm not a big fan of the mandatory sidequests as well, but they really showed us some of the characters' backstory from there and without them, i think i'd be super underleveled for malos 😂 and yes the music is SO GOOD!

@@skyeifer oh..uhm.....like, if you skip travel to the first area in space..the one you xan look at the stars and the cloud see far below, with the big elevator, before going intl elysium. "Radamanthus portal" I believe was the name. You go up the stairs and to both left and right on the walls, with blue background, you see some things written in white. itll say "A1" in big font, and in smaller blurry font next to it theres some...interesting info. Hope you get to see it xD.

Torna Is the best dlc i ever played , probably until xeno3 wave4. Its also the only xenoblade where i have nothing to criticise (yes even the community stuff ,i love side quest and i actually wanted more lol, but i can see why people didnt like that choice). I love how this story add a lot of depht to mytrha , the contrast with her childish personality here and the one She has in the main game its great (malos too, but in his case is more subtle). Also poor jin he didnt deserved all the shit hes gone trhu. I Hope in a xenoblade Warriors in the future, so we can see him again , with lora too maybe.

@@skyeifer I dont know Is Someone already told you but basically at first the dlc was going to be a chapter between 7 and 8 in the main game (when the party fall in to morytha) but then they kept adding stuff and became to long so they decided to cut the chapter. When Nintendo told them to make a dlc they basically had half work done on the scenario so was a easy choice, and im glad they did. Fun fact: takahashi in an interview said that that playing torna between the chapter where was originally planned to be, is the best Way to experence the story. (I dont really agree for what concern the pacing , but on a new game+ run i think could be cool).

@@skyeifer Thank god you refused, but yeah i agree its not really a good idea playing torna between ch7-8 , i can see why they said to do so, but if you expect me to play another game when the party fall into oblivion and dont know what happen them you're crazy lol. Plus Imagine the emotional damage , you finish torna and then you're hit with jin death after a couple of hours, i wouldnt be able to survive , i barely manage with torna lmao , and xeno3 is even worse (i know you already finished so you know what im referring to, but i wont spoil if someone Is whaching xeno for the first time with your videos)
