I’ve been driving for four years now, and before I was able to get my licence I was able to practice at an agriculture research facility that had some parking lots and some unused roads. Glad your son has the opportunity to practice in a parking lot!

Exciting times! My fun driving story was I was on a two lane road at night and I turned into the oncoming traffic lane because I knew a turn was coming up. My mother, calm as can be, “Son, at your earliest convenience, please veer out of the oncoming traffic lane” 😅 Keep us updated on the adventures👍🏻

As a mom of 3 boys (who were all taught to drive by me!) this resonates!! Your son is a riot and looks exactly like you!!! My sons all complained (once out on the road with them) that I would do this shriek-like noise, sucking air through my clenched teeth, whenever I felt they were too close to the ditch on the side of the road. LOL! You go mama!! My boys are all great drivers now, and I take full credit!!

Good afternoon my dear Mary and your first class Mini Me version of you !!!! You two are a trip to watch! You both did great especially you as the teacher !!! Big hugs to you both Momma Mary !!! ❤😮❤ My dear Dad taught me in around 1973 when I was almost 15 in a big empty parking lot as well !!! He would not teach me on an automatic!! He put me in a 1965 Blue mustang with the 3 stick in the floor with clutch !!! I loved it !!! Out of about 14 cars I owned my entire life at least 6 of them were stick in the floor or steering wheel with clutch !!!! Those were the days !!!!
