so happy that you read something out of your comfort zone like “this is how you lose the time war”. regardless of how you feel about it i feel like it’s one of those books that can challenge you to try something different. but you’re absolutely right about the point of the book. i don’t think it’s supposed to out right tell you what’s going on, because that’s not the focus. it wasn’t until i read “i who have never known men” that i realized books aren’t all about giving you answers to every question, but about the characters struggles in that exact moment.

I’m so excited that most of the book girlies have finally read A Man Called Ove! It’s one of my favorite books of all time & it makes me so happy to see other people’s reactions to it. I also highly recommend the movie adaptation! Specifically the OG Swedish one but the English one with Tom Hanks was pretty good too!

i really recommend A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith! it’s a classic but so accessible and relevant to today, it’s also a coming of age story about this girl named Francie growing up in Brooklyn in the beginning of the 20th century and u grow to care for the characters so much!

I would recommend Kate Quinn historical fiction books because you are loving Kirsten Hannah! Kate Quinn does so much research and based some characters off of real people which is so cool and her characters stay with me forever. I just read The Rose Code and found it so interesting and I learn about history I would never had know before! Highly recommend! 📚💕✨

The Women by Kristin Hannah! Just wait until you finish the Beartown series - so amazing! I think you would love The People We Keep by Allison Larkin. The book takes place in Upstate NY and is full of fall/winter vibes and has a found family trope that is so heartfelt.
