Wow, this isn't something we've run into yet. I totally agree though, it will significantly hurt your video's performance. Also 03:59 is like a punch in the gut. Hopefully they get this bug worked out soon. We have a tentative meeting with some of the YT engineers that built the tool, I'll add this bug to the list of bugs we have to talk about! Appreciate that, my goal with this video was A.) to bring awareness to a potential issue for other creators and B.) Hopefully get this across to YT somehow so they can see and research the problem. I still have 9 days left on this active test btw, very curious to see how it "resolves" even though it isn't really testing anything. I'll make a comment or a community post when the test finishes and tag you, it doesn't seem like it will change before the test ends. Thanks for the help!

@@VladimirKostek Just a bit of follow-up: We met with some engineers at KZbin and specifically sent them the link to your video. They were familiar with the bug you've been seeing, so hopefully it will help them get it fixed!

@@VladimirKostek Wow, that's a bummer. I'm curious how many impressions it got? Usually it shows percentages (although not necessarily a result) after 5k impressions. But that might not be so in a unique case like this! lol

It's quite tough to watch your Click Through Rate go from 14% to 5.9% in just over a day,. There are 11.5 days left till the test concludes but I'm resisting the temptation to set one of the thumbnails I actually made😓

I think I might halt my use of this tool until it has been addressed in some way. I'd rather have a bad thumbnail that I choose, than a bad one I didn't choose.

After I started to use thumbnail test and winner thumbnail, my "Impressions click-through rate" got the worst positions. Also if I add my own subtitles later, after video was published, KZbin stop to give impressions at all and video getting dead! As more I analyse work of KZbin than I'm getting disappointed about this platform. So many glitches exist and people speak about them on official channels comments, but nobody take that comments in account. (

Sorry to hear about that, checkout the channel makers video they did about talking to KZbin engineers, glad someone is helping them improve the tool. They actually removed the a/b testing for me recently since they learned about this issue I was having

you can manually change out the thumbnail still, that feature isn't worth it unless you have a huge base I think

I know I can manually change it, I'm just leaving it like this to help them with bugs. Channel Makers just commented they are having a meeting with YT engineers and will discuss this issue.
