I'm not a smoker either but I have about 50 zippo's I got from my grandfather and dad that they received from their employer every year working in the oilfields of West Texas every year for a job well done. They have the years worked with their name and oil derricks or pulling units engraved on them. They are real cool looking and beautiful. My grandfathers are dated from the early thirties to the sixties and my dad's are from the fifties to 1980. You have a great collection. Great video.

I’ve been collecting Zippos for over 30 years.My Dad carried a Zippo until he pasted in 1996.The sound of the Zippo brings back so many memories of my Dad and it’s almost like he’s still with me when I open and close his personal one.I still have his Marlboro Zippo still sealed that he gave me as a teenager.

I live near Bradford PA. My grandma used to work there as a hand painter working for them. She has some pretty cool exclusive lighters from being there for almost 50 years

First. I collect zippos and my favorite is my od green "beer" with the street chrome and supposedly its a rare misprint for the design because it's usually supposed to be hunter orange

@@chrisdips1 I'd never sell it tho. It was a gift from my father too much sentimental value to put a price tag on

Nice video! I love the yellow one with the flame. Always wanted a moon landing zippo too. I recommend removing the orange stickers and flints. Protect the finish and insert.

You can use a zippo to light a candle after the wax melt just get a pipe zippo it has a hole in the burner part so it’s meant to be turned side ways.

My favorite Zippo is the 1935. They make replicas of it. Outside hinges and square body. I suggest giving it a try

I Collect Non-Zippo flip top lighters, because Zippos all look the same, and sound the same, so even if they are "Unique" or "Rare" they are much more common, and Most parts for a $10,000 Zippo are interchangeable with one that's $16, just hard to justify. It's a lot harder and more fun to find older Unbranded ones and see how different manufacturers took their own take on the same thing. Different sizes, shapes, sounds and feels, Plus they are usually cheaper because people don't value them as much because it's "Not Zippo", so they tend to be the ones that get thrown away or forgotten, which in reality makes them far more rare then most Zippos. Its a personal preference, not hating on Zippo.
@MoldyNachos89 Жыл бұрын
So you collect cheap knock-off zippos 😂 All jokes aside I hope you realize that what makes a zippo $10,000 has nothing to do with how expensive the parts are, it’s about exclusivity and history. Same with pretty much all expensive collectibles.

I love zippos, my dad got me into them. My favorite was a brass zippo, used it every single day until I lost it. I probably have 5 or 6 of then so nothing too crazy

You buy off of Amazon and EBay? How do you it ain’t a counterfeit zippo. I only buy from Zippo and Lucas lighters. I know EBay they show you the stamp but is it actually the same lighter? I have been burned on eBay so I am leery.
