I teach glass blowing lessons and love to collect torches for my work. I recently bought my first zippo. To light my torch with. 1999 with an engraved eagle and US flag. Soo cool! Do you use your zippo’s or just collect them for show? I want to start a collection but definitely want to put them to use. Cool channel I’m subscribing!

Thank you for your sharing! My dad left me several Dunpont/ Zippo lighters he bought 20+ years ago and I didn't look after them properly. The outer containers looked oxidised and I wonder if the content inside gets evaporate....Would u be able to advise how i can deal with them? is there any safety concern for keeping so many lighters at home?

No fuel comes inside, if you do put fuel inside it evaporates after 1-2 weeks depending on usage. However the best way to store them is to remove the sticker and flint.

Best way to find prices are eBay sold listings. The market is always changing

I got a zippo the other day, it was a playboy bunny starburst i belive that’s what it’s called, it came in a metal container and it’s from 07, I’ve never seen that before. I was wondering if it’s rare, or real, etc.

Thats neat! The tin boxes were used from early 2000’s to 2008/2009 somewhere around there. I wouldn’t say those tins are rare, they are just becoming harder to find.
