Youve inspired me with that 3d printed cap, i just bought a printer now to design one

I'd love to see what you come up with.

@JeffSanGeorge953 designed and made the cap, a brake lever and a rear mount to hold the factory blinkers with a tail tidy so far. Good fun learning

From my experiences the thermostand stops the engine from overheating. It stops flow for the fluid in the radiator the time to cool down. Withoit a thermostat it will flow until it overheats all the fluid. Dont mean to spark an argument but it was designed like that.

Also on cold weather it keeps the engine warm on optimal temps... the cold weather is a killer for 2 strokes due to quickly thermal expansion...

You are correct. I remove it simply to remove a possible fail point. Throughout the year ee ride single track from 24f to 95f with no issues. If it's real cold I may put a wind block over one of the radiators to increase the temp but that's not often. If I was riding on the snow I'd be doing more to manage cylinder temp.

Have you had any issues with the fan overheating or draining the lithium battery?

Good stuff Jeff! How can I get one of those steering lock covers?

Hi Jeff, what is the point of the thermostae on the beta when its shipped? If you can simple remove it and it has not affect.
@JeffSanGeorge9539 ай бұрын
These bikes are set up for a wide range of users. Anyone from an off-road racer to the guy that rides it to work everyday. The thermostat helps regulate the temp in cold or high speed applications where the engine might not produce enough heat to run right. For me and most US trail riders it's just not needed so I remove it to eliminate a possible fail point.

@@JeffSanGeorge953 Thank you for the reply! May I ask if you've done a vid on how to install the fan, I'm just a bit confused if I can simply plug it in....(ktm I plug it in and the ecu controls the fan) Your vids are on point & clear.

Hey Jeff - Man I love your channel, always do the mods to my new Beta's also. I'm about to pick up my '24 250 Race, and was wondering if you'd be interested in selling me one of those 3D printed lock covers? I've always used round covers from the hardware store, but those won't work on this new shape. Thanks man.

You're not wrong. During these few weeks of crappy weather here I can set this thing up exactly the way I like it and be ready to rip. After the initial set up I won't do much more then maintain it. Each ride needs to be a as good as it can be. Life is short, ride time is shorter.
