1990 Suzuki RG50 Gamma one of the final years of production of the Suzuki RG50 range of 2-Stroke 50cc motorbikes. The Suzuki RG50 range was popular between 1982 - 1995. I am sure a few of you guys out there remember the sound of this exhaust!

I have this exact bike! I bought mine around 10 years ago, and have since taken it all the way apart and restored it. I gave it a custom paint job to match its big brother - the RG500 - which I also have, along with the rest of the RG family - 8 total: (RG50, RG125, RG150, RG200, RG250, RGV250 Gen 1, RGV250 Gen 2, RG500). I love them all!

I bought one in 1985 when still working in the capital while home, kids and wife were 800km and a ferry ride away. The gas to get from point A to point B cost around $8 and similarly for the ferry ride, which priced it as though it were a moped. Wikipedia says it had a top speed of 60kph, arrant nonsense; more like 110kph. The ride took around 11 hours road time but frequent stops were necessary to avoid the dreaded numbum.

The 60km/h was only in countries where the HP was legally restricted.

@@my50bike It's a pleasure, my mate had a gamma in school. Knowing what I know about 2-strokes you could probably rebore the cylinder, re-nikasil it and use a bigger piston, port the intake, exhaust ports etc
