This is excellent for people with bad wrists who need frequent breaks whilst braiding their hair. Thank you so much!
@ginnydoll0703 Жыл бұрын
I can see the benefit to this method for people who need to take breaks in between sections, this really seems that'll it'll be more fatiguing for your arms, and take so much longer if you're using this method because you think it'll be easier than learning how to braid hair.
@kaylahall121911 ай бұрын
I can Dutch and French braid; the benefits of this method? 1, you can secure each section which is handy with different layers. 2, if you are like me; I have nerve damage so I get spasms and loss of dexterity. This saves my place so I don’t have to repeatedly start over. Really clean work.

This is perfect for me so I can take a break in between. My hair is kinda long and my arms are kinda weak. I can never make it through the whole french or dutch braid and it all slides out when I drop my arms. But with this I can take my sweet time and rest my tender noodle arms.

Wow. So many snarky, nasty comments. Okay, for all of you who are shrieking "just learn how to braid!" or "Too many elastics/elastics are bad for your hair!" here's some things to consider : 1. For those of us with dexterity issues - anything from tremors to Parkinson's to stroke to ANY disability that makes intricate braiding techniques difficult or impossible, this actually helps immensely, and it actually SAVES us a TON of time, while still giving us a technique we can use to do something NICE for ourselves or others. 2. Yes, we know elastics are bad for hair, but sometimes you have to choose what to do according to what you can do, rather than just what you know can break hair. 3. If you don't need the technique, don't use it. 4. If you don't like the technique, don't use it. 5. You can express your disagreement without being unnecessarily crass, vulgar, or rude. It is possible. Just because you're typing online doesn't mean you have to be insulting, cruel and nasty to other people. Creators put in a lot of time and effort to make videos like these for people. You don't have to like it, use it, or agree with it, but you really don't need to be hurtful and vulgar in how you express your dislike. Some of you really need a reminder from your mommas about how to treat other people. Sheesh.

I learned to French braid by watching someone do her own hair. She didn't like me so I lay down on my bed (we were at a sleep-away camp) and kind of hung my head over the bed and watched her in a way that she couldn't see me watching. After seven or eight years (LOL) I was able to do it well enough to wear it in public. My niece saw it and asked me who did my Dutch braid. I said no one and then told her about the way I learned to do it. She laughed and told me that I was actually doing a Dutch braid and explained the differences. Too funny.

At first I was like “that’s a really long route to an easy braid”, but now I’m thinking that the weight distribution of the layers will make that braid MUCH more difficult to get pulled apart by wind or hair weight. It would probably hold a lot better this way, and get fewer pieces falling out. Not something I’d do on a regular basis since the braids are generally quick, but for a formal event or something outdoors this is pretty handy
