Thankyou for your tips. Question about electric bikes. Not a motorcycle rider, but bike rider. Do you need a licence, international , does it have be bike or car? Helmet no doubt. Have Myanmar on my hit list but layed up by virus closing borders. Thanks in anticipation

Hi! Im from Colombia and Im planning a one month trip in Asia. I would do it solo. I have just been in Japan. Im not sure if i should go to thailand and cambodia, India or Myanmar. Which one would you recomend? I like to dedicate one month to a country and no to rush the trip. Thank you so much! Hope you plan a trip to Colombia soon.
@BradNewton5 жыл бұрын
Going to Cambodia in 2 weeks from now. The rest are all amazing countries - depends on what you want to see/do. India is a stunning country and needs a minimum of a month, I believe. I'd say Myanmar as it is relatively untouched (from tourism)

@Brad Newton Vlogs When are you guys considering visiting again? It'd obviously be after the pandemic. A couple of other tips: - the country is pronounced "Mya-mar". Two syllables. The "n" is silent. This tip also holds true for other Burmese words spelled in English. The first few consonants and vowels mash together. If Myanmar was three syllables instead of two, it would have been spelt "Myyanmar". It's how they interpret English spelling. "Yangon" is pronouced "yun-gown" (rhymes with bone), not "yan-goon", nor "yan-gone". - Regarding food, if it comes in one bowl/dish, mix it together. Everything you get in smaller dishes next to a main, big dish, are side dishes. Mix bits and bobs from the side dishes together with the main dish. There's no right or wrong way to do this. Experiment, and see what works for you. - the places you ate in this series looked fairly expensive. Crazy cheap compared to Aus, but about 50% more expensive than what I had expected. Don't worry, you didn't get ripped off. You just ended up in touristy places, probably on the main streets rather than back-streets, even if there weren't other tourists there. - I'll leave more tips once they come back into my head. It'll also help if I knew what time of year you're heading there.

Appreciate the tips!

Nice video and really cool tips. btw, you're still pronouncing Myanmar wrong. Like when you pronounce kyats, it's not My-an-mar. It's M-yan-mar. So it's closer like Mian-Mar. Thanks for visiting my country and sharing beautiful videos.

no different to tomatos or "tomaytos" thanks for the comment

Hi, From what I have heard you don't have to bring US dollars to Myanmar... You can exchange your Aussie dollars to kyat at money exchangers and banks..... It's easier to take Aussie dollars than to take us dollars... Can someone confirm?
@BradNewton5 жыл бұрын
Not sure... i only know that many hotels only accept USD. The currencies accepted at the money changer might offer more options. There are plenty of ATMS there...
@simplesimpleman5 жыл бұрын
Us dollars is a lot easier. Some hotels and restaurants only accpet us dollars. Cash will be good too because you can pay with credit or debit cards just in a very few places.Anyway don't worry,there's a lot of banks,money changers and atms everywhere now.
@jor8885 жыл бұрын
@@simplesimpleman if we not from the USA we then have to change our currency to USA so we lose on the conversion to the USA Dollar also the notes have to be immaculate condition... It is so painful....
@karenguy71494 жыл бұрын
@@jor888 best way is simply go to ATM and withdraw local currency, will cost around USD5 . Most money changers will accept currency from US,EURO,JAPAN,SG,THAILAND, MALAYSIA and a few more.
@yawaihan74495 жыл бұрын
You still need to bring flawless $ notes to deal with the money changers.Some wont accept even a microscopic spot is seen.The unwanted procedure is introduced by the (ex)military rulers to discourage the foreigners to come to this hermitage country.
@BradNewton5 жыл бұрын
yeah i was really annoyed by that to be honest... given their currency is accepted with rips, tears, etc but not the U.S currency!

Your USD or AUD or every foreign currency must totally 100% need to clean. They are not acceptable even if your money having a very tiny dot. Trust me! I'm a local person and I always argue with them. LOL ....
@BradNewton4 жыл бұрын
yeah i know... totally aware. It was frustrating for us too.
@DannoCurfman3 жыл бұрын
Why is that? They afraid it won't be accepted?? You can tear a US dollar in two and as long as it has a serial number I can take it and exchange it.
