So many of us look for love outside of ourselves and end up so broken when we aren't fully loved right and then go and hurt others. But giving yourself the love you yearn for can allow you to heal yourself from within and then go out and love someone else properly. Such a beautiful song and visual. Dani tried to get her name off the ground after appearing on Nelly's "Hot in Herre" uncredited, but things never took off because the two lead singles off her scrapped debut didn't make big numbers on the charts. She's since appeared on other artists' music and of course dropping gems of her own these days like "Wishing Well", "BlackOut" & "Take Your Girl". Jade I know has been on the indie scene for a hot minute. She first appeared on Missy's "This Is Not a Test" (2003) album as a backup vocalist and has since been dropping music over the years. Love this song!! There's so many ways to interpet this video. Self love is part of it but she didn't actually seem to marry herself. The video (in my opinion) was done in a way to show how she was feeling emotionally. Blonde her was at the start of the alter watching the ceremony as almost a reflective image of what she used to be. I think the "new" her standing at the alter was symbolizing growth and a place of happiness. Hints why she kept looking back at her old self. Either way, love that she continues to put out art.
