What an absolute work of art! Do you just open the doors and look at the beauty of it? Seriously. It amazes me how a well organized and easily accessed space can make such a big difference. I know you said you weren't going to find a shelving system you could turn the other way in place of the black wire one you have now but I think how nice that would be to have the shelves more flush. I hope the perfect something comes your way and you can find a wonderful new space for the one you have there now. You have truly inspired me to tackle my own small "pantry" which is really half of a double catch all closet in my dining / office area. I am still recovering from a cold and stomach bug but once my energy is back, I will dive right in. If I can get some good pictures, I'll be sure to share them with you. Oh my goodness, Matt! You are so kind and encouraging to me! You always make me feel like what I’m doing is right! I like you, hope that I will find a shelving unit that will slide right back in that smaller space! My husband said he would gladly take the shelving unit that is there now and put it in the garage if I happen to find something that fits. I could also put it in the decor closet in the basement or try to rearrange the my big tidy up closet and add it in there. I did not know you have been under the weather, I myself have been under the weather for the last couple of days. Sore throat and cough, no stomach bug (knock on wood) I am glad the video has got you inspired! I am glad you mentioned that you will share your pictures because if you hadn’t mentioned it, I would’ve asked!! 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you so much for being here and such a source of encouragement! So nicely done! I also have a small cupboard in our laundry room as a “pantry” as we do not have much food storage in our kitchen. I do not decant much, and do not need organizer bins etc. but love to see how others organize. Great start to a new year!

Nice job! We have been just putting things in cans and jars in the pantry. Everything else goes in a baking cupboard or the pasta cupboard. Three shelf risers are used for keeping canned goods rotated. When it is organized and the containers are full, it keeps us from over buying. It has to work for you and your family.

...I have to say that from the beginning of this Pantry Transformation... you had me giggling to myself,.. I'm so like you,in certain aspects with Organization ( because I was a Professional Organizer/ Housekeeper,years ago ) Can't wait to see how it all cones together and update to follow!🙂😊 UPDATE : So, shades of me,lol.. seeing all the things " stacked " , " dropped it right here " .. that is one reason I stated I was giggling. ..and,then hiw you stated you were not sure " what exactly was going back in or to a different location . Ohhhh my goodness. .. " Houdini " comment, I was laughing a lot on that, I completely get it ! 🤣 I loved how you just try out things, because. ...it is a process that has to " evolve " to see whatvworks ! And, it often DOES " get worse " befire it gets better, it is just how it is sometimes.....to get to the best result. I am also a " container person ", have been for Decades ....because I also want to see it looking nice ( not perfect ) otherwise, it will start to bug me, lol.....😁😊. I agree with the sticky notes to help decide if it works or not , .. that was a great idea! 👍🏻 ..and I also do " Categories ". And, as far as this being a " Makeshift Pantey " ...I'd say it's like a Real Pantry area ...because I do not even h a v e a Pantry, as well....and this is such a great use of the space! ..." I don't think I've ever had a Snack expire ..." mmmm hmmm. Lol. Such a great transformation, . The Categories, .the Labels, the way it looks when opening that door... I am sure it's such a great feeling to have, when you open your Pantry and see how much you did ,and how it all works in such a way that you need it to. ...great Inspiration ,my friend!! 👏🏻👏🏻😊🙂✨️

Good morning DeDe. I love this video!! (Since I just did mine). I know what it’s like. The dust and dirt alone shocked me in mine!!! Often times I wish I had a walk in pantry to get that Pinterest look. lol. But we make do with what we have, and honestly we are just 3 and my daughter is hardly here. So I don’t need a big pantry anymore. I love how yours is in the laundry room. How far is your laundry room from the kitchen. Hard to tell. I love the idea of not grocery shopping in Jan. We’ve never done that and is a great idea. We may try that. I spy bags of Dots pretzels!! OMG!!! Dangerous is all I can say!!! We love those!!! Pantry looks great!!! Great job!! I do the "don't buy groceries in January". It's a good idea to encourage you use up what is in the kitchen. The only thing that I buy is milk. Re the pantry, you did a great job. Only thing I question is all of the paper towels on the floor. Why not leave them in the garage or basement (if you have these) and only have one or two in the kitchen.

Hello Elizabeth! I definitely enjoy no groceries in January! It helps us plan better and create different meals! I have always kept the paper towels in the laundry room pantry. My husband does keep some of the blue shop paper towels in the garage, so that’s probably why I haven’t stored them out there. It might be something I could consider though.
