Actually the easiest way for me to know if you have the original Casio Calculator is if it has the Contrast adjustment setting in the menu. Never seen a single fake casio calculator has this, loved this feature! 😉

Is this a feature of all Casio models, or just the fancier ones with more features? I have an fx-85MS from my school days-one of Casio's cheaper models, at least 10 years old. It can't manipulate algebraic expressions/equations like the "solve for x" problem shown in the video. It doesn't have any contrast setting that I know of, and I bought it from a reputable store, not some random ebay listing. (Australian school exams are strict about what kinds of calculator are allowed: no symbolic algebra, calculus, graphing, etc)

The solving function has a timeout on it. If the fake pirates the ROM but uses a cheaper CPU, it won't be able to solve in time what the real one can. Different floating point modes can also give different results, so code designed for one may fail if a subbed part defaults to another.

con 570 VN plus bản 2nd edition thì lại có :))) bấm Mode 0 sẽ hiện ID và mã QR. 580 VN X thì cũng có serial number nhưng làm nhiều bước hơn. Tổ hợp On-Shift-7 -> hiện "DIAGNOSTICS" nhấn 9 -> nhấn Shift liên tục cho đến khi màn hình bào "Press AC" -> nhấn "Mode" -> nhấn AC -> màn hình hiện số seri (nhưng không có QR)

For es plus calculators, You can press shift mode, then press 0, and then scan the qr code it gives to see if it's authentic or not, well that's what I did with mine anyway

Remember that on a college test or actual real-life scenarios, this "simple operation" is just one of the many operations you would have to do to get the answer for just one math problem... Of course, you could do each and every operation manually, but due to the sheer number of them it would take at least 2-3 hours for ONE math problem while a test might have several problems (sometimes 10+); and tests have a time limit (around 2-3 hours, so if you did all the operations by hand, solving only one problem would take you the entire test time 😖). The purpose of a calculator on a test is to quickly crunch numbers so you can focus on actually solving the problem... and of course using a phone is forbidden because you could actually share the answers wirelessly with your fellow classmates, on the other hand, a calculator has no connectivity, therefore no way to share answers without the teacher noticing. Another idea (which is what my college did) was having a jammer (behind the classroom walls) on each classroom which gets activated automatically on class hours placed as meetings on MS Teams, and can only be deactivated if approved by the direction board or on emergencies (e.g. an earthquake)
