Thank you Dennis for recognizing the significance of Canadian Hot Rod history. Not only was B.C. a hot bed of Canadian hot rodding but Southern Ontario also had it’s place mainly in the world of drag racing. Again thank you for shedding light on a seldom recognized contribution of Canadians to hot rodding’s history.

That was GREAT Dennis. I'm glad to have gone there and talked with you there. It really was an amazing event. I know most of those people you interviewed, and you picked a fine selection. Someone below asks about the odd black car seen near the beginning. That was completely custom built by a local guy in the late 50's (As I recall) and not customized off something else.

Man, I really wish building a custom hotrod was still something that was affordable for a regular guy to do. Between high prices and scarce parts, you have to be rich to build something that you can be proud to show. It's a shame, cause I've got some skills in mechanics, auto body, fabrication and I've got a lot of ideas. It would be great to build a car with my son. But I don't have the time, money or space to do it. I'm in my 40's now and I hope that I can have a chance to build at least one custom car before it's too late. I don't even care if it's a show car. I just want something that I can drive around and say that I designed it and built it myself. But for now I'm just hoping that I can find a car for my son to get him involved with the hobby before he starts driving
