So being non-Laminar doesn't matter? As long as the wind isn't turbulent and flows like you showed?
@Mycophilia
@Mycophilia Жыл бұрын
@@sweetleaf9668 laminar is more consistent and better, but the law of diminishing returns come into play pretty heavily. You pay a lot more (plus takes up more space and is bulkier also) for a little more, whereas a FFU can get the job done pretty well. I plan on making a video soon to see if I get contam if I leave plates open for an hour with the nomad.

@@Mycophilia Understood my friend. I am an experienced grower of medicine made by mother nature and we have the same philosophy in growing, especially when increasing production and growing larger. Something I am sure you already know. My professors in economics always stressed the laws of diminishing returns as a factor in decision making for any business, which also applies to most all life endeavors, something to be considered and calculated at all times. I guess my first attempt at growing and its failure has made me question my skills at learning from mistakes, making changes and experimenting for things that can only make me a successful grower in the future. Having been through this years back when first starting out in cannabis growing, for medical reasons and the suffering caused from it and a lack of help in the realm of big pharma that I struggled dealing with physically and mentally. For example, my disability insurance refuses to pay for my Crohn's or Ankylosing Spondylitis medication and only half of my carotid artery's blockages medication. This lead me down the road of not just laying down and dying as I feel they wish I would, but to take knowledge and use my own hand and work to make my own medicines. To be honest, my edibles help with Crohn's more than any pharmaceuticals I ever tried in the past. It also helps with the mental side of things as far as not focusing on them so much, but it is still there and becoming more of a struggle as time passes. I want to do the same with Mycology and feel the benefits of microdosing may give me some peace from the demons of the past and some acceptance of a certain future shortened by health issues. I have been trying to pay it forward, that which was given to me by those that came before , as much as I can, leave this new challenge and goal and help those that travel in similar paths as mine before I take that final trip to the stars and heavens. Sorry for the long tangents, but I am inspired by those like you who have given so much time and effort in trying to help others. You may never know what that person has been through and or going through, but help them the same and regardless. I thank you for that. It helps give me hope for humanity after all. Peace my friend and thanks for the knowledge.

It took me almost 4 months to get mine..A little over priced. A filter is only $25. Which makes the box and fan $250 (walnut finish) buy a filter make your own box..10-11 week delivery time on handmade hoods.The Nomad Lyte is made from a bioplastic that is a highly durable material. The Nomad Lyte (new model)is half the weight of the original Nomad $230 2-3 weeks.

Looks like only a good flow 3 inches away from the front. If the flame is dancing, it's turbulent flow. Not even sure about that. From what I've found around the interwebs, you also want a 45 degree angle. looks more like 75-80. I would make sure anything you work on is directly in the front 3 inches imo. Got a meter?
