I gotta say, your genuine joy 5:32 with the quality of life improvements made my day. It shows me how good of a product it already is, that with small improvements you are delighted. Thank you for this video!

The first fix in the release notes is a fix for a MASSIVE security vulnerability. Previously a stolen device could be connected to a Linux computer and all your private files - private notes - stolen with no effort. This deserves a lot more attention than a passing mention. Why such a bug was there in a first place? How can I be sure it doesn’t get introduced again? It’s a much bigger issue than accidentally storing thumbnails of private pictures from the cloud storage, which got its own dedicated video.

I don't have a computer with Linux installed, and I don't use Linux. So in order to test or discover something like that, I would need to: 1. Install Linux on a computer 2. Learn how to use Linux 3. Try to find out about the problem before it was discovered and patched. I made a video about a privacy issue that I accidentally discovered on my own on the Remarkable platform. As a consequence of that video and discovery, this security issue has now been fixed on the Remarkable. Similarly, when I discovered that the pin code security aspect was something that affected the Google Drive and Boox devices, I also made a dedicated video about that as well. When I discover and notice issues about any platform, Supernote included, as I have covered plenty of issues before on it as well, I do document them. This one, because of the above mentioned reasons, I could never have discovered. And now that it is fixed, what's the point of making a dedicated video about something that is fixed? In addition, you are talking about a security issue when a device would already be stolen and connected to a specific OS in a specific way, while the privacy issue you mentioned that I covered was something that was present on any device under any circumstances, the moment you would establish an integration with Google Drive. Not really the same type of a situation, is it?

@ not asking you to discover all the bugs yourself and make a video about every single bug. I was surprised that this massive privacy issue was just mentioned in passing, given how privacy-conscious you are in general (been following you for a very long time). The fact that this bug is OS-dependent is scary to me. It implies that the access to internal files on the device over USB is open and then additional IF conditions prevent it from working and those IF conditions are per-OS. I trusted that devices do not allow access to internal files over USB if they are locked and that this access restriction is rock solid and at the device level independent of the OS to which the device is connected. Learning that it was not the case shocked me.

Only last week I purchased a Bluetooth page turner for my Lumi2 and now I can use it on my A5X, and as for editing headings and links... I've wanted that for sometime but never really expected it but now here it is! I've never used a keyboard with my A5X and having watched the video, shall not attempt to until the highlighted issues are implemented. Thanks for the update, appreciated.

I really appreciate this video, and agree completely. Being able to long press the heading or link is awesome. It makes being able to mark text with multiple tools seamless. I hope they fix the Word bugs because I found typing with Bluetooth enjoyable once I was just typing and not worrying as much about anything but the words in front of me. A small, but mighty, update.

Thx MDG! The WordDOC fix we really need, especially after these Bluetooth keyboard fixes, is landscape rotation for WordDOC editing on A6X2. The A5X has it but we are left lacking with the Nomad.

Wow! Amazing improvements. I can't wait to try it out. Too bad we can't yet buy the A5X2 yet, as I'd love to see all these new features implemented on the bigger screen.

The change to the stroke width was to the marker - not the two other types of pens. The marker doesn't have a set width in cm like the other two. Thanks for the update.

Can you share the name/link of the page turner you used in the video? Does it work on Boox devices too?

@MyDeepGuide: can you please share what specific signals worked for your page turner and also which one it is. I have one, but could not get it working with the supernote with any setting and also ratta unfortunately is not responding to requests right now on this.

I don't know the specifics of the signals being sent, so I can't.
