When I first broke up (it’s weird to admit this because of ego; I thought my intellect, education, rationalism altogether was almost sad to reach out to break-up coaching videos on KZbin). Once again, I LOVE Coach Lee but I think it’s not worth it to purchase the EBU Kit. NOT BOYCOTTING (for the last time, I LOVE Coach Lee but-) Try also - Coach Craig Kenneth (and his amazing co-host Coach Margaret) here on KZbin. (Free resources) They speak about attachment styles, childhood traumas that we unwittingly bring unto our adulthood and why we behave the way we do. Coach Lee, I was dumped a week and a half ago after 1 year relationship and I straight went to 'hell' experiencing all kinds of anger, sadness, depression and self hatred. During that period I heavily relied on your video's to survive each days. However as of yesterday i just suddenly realized , I don't need him anymore, is he even worth my effort to get him back? Coach Lee, I have decided during no contact that actually I'm worth more. My ex is a classic Narc and wouldn't even need a diagnosis. Went days without randomly not talking to me, making me feel very low, blaming his depression for his behaviour etc. Always really mean to people making comments, striving to be better than everyone else. Had a big thing about famous people, always bragging about those he had met as he was a bouncer for 11 years. I've met someone else who is actually normal and respects me and we have much more in common. If my ex does return after no contact I'm definitely showing him the door. I understand the whole no contact thing and you give very great advice. In my opinion if someone do no contact for 2 or 3 months, they will be right back seeking advice on how to get their ex back that is now in a rebound relationship because the ex will be in a vulnerable state of mind, plus their friends and family will be convincing them to move on. Then you will have to go into no contact again because they are now in a rebound relationship and maybe less attracted to you due to being in a rebound relationship. I could be wrong just my vision

I'm 2 1/2 months into no contact since my ex gf made it official. She took a month to herself first to decide whether she wanted to continue with me. Luckily I watched your videos during that month and I've stayed silent since she made it official.. We had a loving relationship but I was getting cranky , irritable and having bad world views as I have had internal anger issues since I was a kid. I never lashed out at her though. Also, I had some jealousy issues due to some past trauma as well. We are both in our 40s and It seems ridiculous that we can't work this out. I have been working on myself and made great strides with my anger and jealousy in these months. I have been using cognitive behavioral therapy.....and it works so well. I was hoping she would reach out by now but she is very independent and was single for 17 years before she met me (of course she had dated guys briefly but none of that went anywhere).. We were together for 2 years. So now I have improved myself but she has not checked in. No Merry Xmas or happy birthday even. I know I can make things work with her but I'm playing this waiting game while talking to other women. What is the longest I should go before finally breaking down and checking in with her if she doesn't contact me first? I really feel like I blew it with her and she is not easy to replace (we are in our 40s). I want her back But, I just keep thinking she'll never reach out since she has probably been brainwashed by these feminists to just be happy alone and stay single forever. I know not to contact too soon or too much as I have been on the other end before with a different girl....she would not leave me alone and pushed me further away. But this one is different and think she will wait at least a year before checking in with me. Am I unreasonable to be loosing patience after 2 1/2 months????

No contact works, but not always the way you expect it to. My ex reached out to me 7 months after the breakup. She called me drunk and crying and I picked her up and had sex with her in her bed where she soon thereafter told me she is still in love with me. I then find out she has a boyfriend. She told me she was going to tell him what happened and breakup with him. She texts me the next day saying that she realized she didn’t take time to get over me and she needs time to be alone. Havnt heard from her in another 8 months. I’ve moved on, but i still think about her from time to time.

Dear Coach Lee. I've started watchig your videos almost exactly one your ago. I thought that I will not survive this pain. I knew he wasn't honest with me. My ex broke up with me last September because I neglected her. Didn't give her the sweetness she's looking for, the care that she wants and thinks I've taken her for granted. She thinks I broke her as a person, created a monster inside of her, she had to self-pity and eventually lost her attraction to me. After a month of breakup she went into a new relationship and eventually moved in together. After a month or two together, it went south and she started to see me again. I immediately accepted her back when they broke up but she kept seeing the other one. It didn't go well for me because I feel like she's testing the waters and I kinda put pressure on us. So she asked me if she can go back home to their apartment where the one still lives. I told her I can't be her backup and don't want to be friends with her so she can leave and figure out what she wants. She said I missed my chance during the time that we're together and a lot of things happened already and she's just confused. So now I started the no contact but a bit hard because we all work together so trying my best.

Lowest part of my life. He broke up March 31st after a fight, and I tried to get back with him at 5.5 weeks into the break up, and he told me too much water under the bridge- move forward. Yeah, well come to find out he arranged the fight so he would have a reason to break-up in (since we rarely argued). Then, NC 5 months since that time. Two weeks ago saw my ex in the lingerie dept of a store with his new girl. He was shocked to see me, but did say hi and so did I. I gathered my composure and quickly left. Got to say that it broke my heart, but all of my questions got answered. She is not better than I am, but he felt that he would give up a 7 year relationship to be and stay with her. I did ship all of the jewelry he got me, back to him without a note. I just could not look at it anymore or anything to do with him and did not want to pawn it off. You know, when they go low, you go high.....So, to make a long story short, I am sure he will not be back. Lee, thank you for everything though. I have been in such a dark sad place, but have to move on now.

For example, I see mine at school and at an after school activity that we both do. 2. 1. Be polite and positive. Be sure to show that you're approachable, but that you're not going to jump through the roof with excitement when you see them. Be cautious. 2. Even better than looking happy, BE happy. In my experience, instead of "making yourself happy", finding a way to focus on other (volunteering, helping a family member/friend, etc.) is a great way to stop thinking about your ex and your happiness will come from that. It will be apparent for those who see you. Especially your ex.

Alcohol is what broke us up and six months later, that trust issue is the only thing keeping us apart. So, right on Coach, stuff takes time. I'm fortunate enough that we are back talking and connected anyway. And, at least we were clear about the issue, no tiptoeing through the tulips. I think age helps. Aaand, btw, for others reading, it took three months NC, she reached out, and after three months of casual texting i had a conversation with her which probably wasn't the best idea, so be super patient folks.
