12:45 Shaan nails it. It's not that people are getting "help", it's that these properties are essentially gifted. And by properties I don't mean everyone in NYC, just the select areas that = $2m+ houses & homeowners with sub $300k salaries (combined or otherwise); there's just no other way. I also know from experience that children in upper class families are often given properties to live in but it's the parents investment, so technically, most just live there rent free and don't own the note.

"How to make $10 mil in 12 months with apps?" Answer: Get lucky! This podcast puts way too much emphasis on the Allen Wong's of this world or survivorship bias! Allen Wong got lucky. I built apps (alongside some friends) in and around 2011-2012 and I had one that got moderately "successful" and almost reached 1 million downloads. But that was just enough to make my costs back. My app was unique and could have had that "it" factor...it had some, but not enough. Allen Wong did not do exhaustive market research to come up with the police scanner app idea...he just did it. And he was one of the 100,000 other developers who released an app that same week and his just happened to resonate and grow. My friend had a successful game and was netting him $3000-5000/month but he could not seem to get it to the next level.

Whilst the taxes are crazy I think you'd be surprised about the number of investment and commercial bankers, PE and hedge fund managers, real estate professionals, senior executives, law firm partners, specialist doctors, corporate consultants (management, finance, tax, HR etc), data scientists, business brokers, mortgage brokers, small business owners etc who are earning $ 7 figures in a place like NYC before you even look at inheritance etc.

The criticisms of the Wallake post on Linkedin are valid, but you literally did not offer anything of value as to what he should have done better... like promoting those two former employees and helping them get hired somewhere else. Instead, you perpetuated a toxic "bro" culture by calling him names and advocating bullying. Showing emotion and empathy are not weaknesses... Showing it to self-promote is. Criticizing him the way Sam did? Weak. Do better.

17:04 into the video of him explaining how family's make is very true ... My abeyta family owns Santiagos restaurants a Bubba chinos restaurant my uncle Sam in the 90s had a million dollar fabrication company bought my cousin a couple of subways she sold those and now owns some dispensarys... My mom was given a house that my grandparents owned since the 30s had 400,000 loans on the house yes your totally right families own assets before all this... My mom lost the house in early 2000s and now as her son see the affects of when your parents lose all their assets... Hard times for this one part of the family but as far the other parts of our family are doing very well these days... my real dad owned a printing business in the 90s I seen how my family made tons of money In 2020 during the pandemic I told myself it was time to take my skills a step further .. I self taught myself how to develop apps in three years.. I value my up bringing how I seen my family really do well for themselves. That's built in me to be an artist 🎨 a mechanic a musician a app developer. Alot skills that kept my money flow going Now I've developed some brand apps that I started pulling 25 to 40 a day on daily income.. I finally figured how to build my personal wealth with more successful business' apps Your right on alot these topics
