This guy is highly capable, particularly remarkable due to his age. I have to point out for those new to the idea of starting or running a business, "the business doesn't exist yet" is just a whisker away from "highly distressed business" conceptually, in terms of the actions you need to take to first get to breakeven. Studying how to work a turnaround gets you an "in the trenches" look at how to take your non-existent business and 'revive' it. A not-yet-started business that you need to get money from is very 'troubled' in a sense, and if you study turnarounds, it's quite better than "how to start a business' type of book perhaps. It's probably the best episode of MFM in this regard, and I wish I'd seen this right out of college when we were starting - thank you!

Is it really true that site speed optimisation guys are that hard to find? Or is it just a market diluted by averahe coders?
@mehtabbhogal397
@mehtabbhogal397 Жыл бұрын
For some reason, it's less of a dev ability thing and more of a lack of critical thinking around site speed. Our marketing team has found the biggest unlocks VS external agencies or dev hires. Best example is delaying specific pixels from loading (like GA/FB).

@mehtabbhogal397

@@prodibig237 yeah its a function of their existing revenue really and how much work has already been done. Sweet spot is probably companies with $3m - $15m in revenue. Bigger than that and they're probably already following best practices.

what is a consideration period?
@mehtabbhogal397
@mehtabbhogal397 Жыл бұрын
It's the delay between someone first hearing or seeing a brand and the purchase. Some types of products have a naturally short period, other have a longer one. For example, apparel is extremely fast in most cases. Same with most sub $100 purchases. When spending on digital marketing, a longer consideration period can make it hard to tell which ads are driving revenue.
