It depends what problems you're referring to. Being that it's a big touch-screen, it's certainly different than buttons and there's a definite learning curve. It's work up-front to learn the system. Once you learn the system, it's not hard to use, but you need to put in some time first. It'll keep getting better over time, though, to become more and more intuitive as Ford keeps updating it.

If you know how to work a smart phone, you should know how to use this system. It's really easy. Fast response, a lot of cool features. Nice bright screen. Love it. To get the full features get it with the navigation.

Don’t think he’s saying not knowing how to use it. It’s just a tad slow compared to other vehicles. My wife has a Hyundai Tucson and it’s screen is way quicker responsively

Had an 09 Escape with the first Ford Sync with Nav. Took a bit to learn it but once I did it had a lot of features.

I keep reading about these myFord touch systems having problems that I'm discouraged to buy one. My next car will have nav and it must work right. Has Ford fixed these problems in 2013 models?

No. Comes stock on 2010's Ford models

I'm in the unfortunate position of having to use it at that temperature, but it does still work. Not quite as well, though. Some of that is due to LCD screens by nature being slower in the extreme cold and also because you're typically wearing a thicker glove which is less accurate. Again, it's not the same as in warm temperatures, but it does still work.

I haven't used the new iDrive, but I hear it's better than previous systems. You still use a controller, though, as opposed to everything being on the screen with this system where you can see and touch. I like that better.

I just picked up a 2016 fusion with this. Is there a way to have the heated seats and steering wheel turn on when you remote start the car? My 2013 ram had a setting where you could set that up. Also is there a way to access Google assistant to say request to play a certain band from an app? I can't seem to figure out the voice commands to make that happen.

I have now used extensively over the past week the sync system in a rented Ford Escort. I can say without a doubt despite reading the owners manual that the system is not easy to use. Voice commands are better. The GM system with OnStar integration in a Buick or Chevrolet is far easier to use with simple commands. Also, you can configure your smartphone either android or Apple to review your car status remotely. Microsoft has yet to match this capability and it is lacking in the Ford products.

I'm getting no sound at all from the radio or any sounds for that matter, everything else works properly with radio did the sync reset and master reset. Changed the keys pulled the fuse still no sounds. Any ideas how to fix?

You have to go outside, give it your best guest, then get back into your and enter your estimate in your touch by using the dial pad

Please make a video for how to pull out fuse 79 in Ford CMax 2013. Today is the second time I have had the radio not shut off. It says "audio off," but you can shut the car off, leave the vehicle, come back, and the radio is still on. Three times I have done a master reset and went back to factory settings, but the radio plays on. There has to be an easier way to do this. At least with a computer, I can hold down my start button and power it down, unlike the Sync in my CMax.

Hmm. This is interesting… I know this is an old post, so I hope to hear back from you… lol Did you ever figure it out? I have an issue with my horn continuously blowing itself unless the keys are in the ignition. The car does not need to have the engine running but the computer has to be running essentially for it to not blow. All of this had made the horn useless for driving but also extremely risky for me to leave the keys in the car and on, so I removed the fuse that was connected to the horn and blowing without key problem solved!! But I currently do not have a horn lol. 2014 ford fusion SEL

+DCAGchannel I have a 2015 Focus Electric and when I switch my charging mode to Value Charge, it doesn't switch to my Value Charge Profile time. Ford says I have to drive it for about 2 miles before it switches over to my set charge time. That is stupid in my opinion. It's like changing to another radio station on your radio presets and then you have to drive 2 miles before the radio will actually change the radio station. When I change charging modes, it should change immediately.

You can always stop by your Dealer and ask them to do it and watch them..I do it all the time, but then again I bought a Lincoln MKZ and get Free Car Washes ..;-)

Good question. It would depend on the integration with individual phones/mp3 players, but nothing video-wise can play while you're driving.

Got different story I got Ford Edge 2011 and my remote start won't work nothing at all no flash no sound nothing ... How to fix that ? I tried to click lock and trunk same time and then the starter it flash 2 times and still not working ..

Ford is constantly updating the system to make it better and better. It's new technology so there's hiccups here and there. Remember, it's still a computer and computers do freeze here or there and require a reboot even though they've been around for years and years. It's annoying, but it's not like you need to reboot it every 3rd time you get in the vehicle. Every now and again you might have to delete and re-pair your phone. Actually having to do a whole master reset is rare.

+Monkeybox Gaming i have this setup and if it crashes or hangs (which it does do)... the climate functions on the screen and even the physical buttons don't work. So the system is very integrated with all the physical buttons unfortunately. This may be corrected in sync 3 not sure. Too bad for the millions that have sync 2 though.

Almost every review of this system comments of rebooting, freezing etc. A rash of complaints exist online with these problems noted. That's my main concern. I love the interior design but I want to know what's been done to correct the problems.

That was a good thing to say: to practice new stuff before you get on the road. I've SEEN the result of what happens when people are fooling with buttons in a new car. Even looking at the function buttons on the steering wheel is too dangerous. NO, these things are not "intuitive" as others say, and your FIRST PRIORITY as the driver is to drive safely. Save the fooling-around stuff for the bedroom ;)

The frayed glove was that distracting? I mean I think the guy does a fairly good job at informing us with the features of the MyFord Touch system, if the frayed glove prevented you from grasping the information, you may just be one of those people who gets distracted while driving due to the fly on your windshield. Geesh, rough crowd!

my 20l4 Escape titanium, has problems recognizing verbal commands. It doesn't even come close and I speak distinctly. I almost hate it! I usually have to have a garmin on the window, and then get two different sets of directions. It is so bad that we just bought a 20l7 Denali and a 20l7 Honda and did not consider buying a ford. Why haven't they updated this problem for owners? I still use the Escape, but I need an update that actually can recognize a simple command like "Perkins, or Target" and not get pickle factory or temple... I have always had Fords, but I feel they really let us down on this one. I would love the sync 3 in my 20l4 but at this point it is not worth replacing the entire module.
