Just a wee sewing tip for gathering... sew two rows of gathering stitches, as far apart as you can on the doll clothes seam allowance. The two rows means the gathering threads are less like to break , if you gather vigorously. Plus, you should get a more even gather when you sew. I hope got a new Spring outfit, or two, along with the dolls.

Well done tutorial! Only thing I would add be pressing the seams out a little, even if it's just with your fingers. The top stitch helps so much in keeping fabric in place. Depending on the scrap size, they can also be used as stuffing for pillows and such. I think I'll have to download this pattern. So many possibilities! ❤

Hi, Toya. My mother had her Masters degree as a tailor. I can sew because of her. She used to use the tule like your are as well. I would like to know why is the tule needed in these pieces?

The tulle gives the thin fabric more body and the finished garment more structure without adding too much Bulk.
