I won't tell my story about Rory here because this is YOUR story, yours and Charlie's. But believe me when I say I feel your pain. I painted paw prints and my dog's name on a river rock that's on my headboard and I touch it every night and talk to him. Keep talking to your sweet girl about all the happy memories and peace really will come. We all grieve at our own pace so don't let anyone tell you to "get over it". Aw, I'm so, so sorry 😢. We've been there too many times, but with cats. My heart is broken for you 💔. Prayers, good energy, and hope to send your way. Your energy is so amazing, I can't even imagine what you're doing thru, my dear. Hang in there. It will take time & much healing. Our sweet oldest cat of 15yrs got a brain aneurysm just out of the blue one night. We also had one with leukemia. We did all we could, and I'm SO, so sorry. Pets are family. We do all we can as you did. Know that you did all you could for Charlie. I was the one to be there for them to be euthanized, its THE HARDEST!!!!! You are not selfish and did what was needed. Thank you for sharing such a strong moment. Many of us understand, and our hearts go out to you 😢🫂💔😞. RIP, beautiful Charlie.

I’m so sorry. We lost our Lady to a massive stroke. She was in severe pain. We held her and bawled as she was euthanized. That was 7 years ago and I miss her every day. As for pit bulls or any rescue dog - there are no bad dogs only bad owners. Love conquers all. Rest in Peace Charlie, you were loved.❤

I, wholeheartedly, feel your pain. I lost my almost 16yo cat in May 2020. 5 days later, I lost my almost 12yo Great Dane. Talk about gutted...the loss was insurmountable. 10 months later, I lost my almost 15yo Pittie in March 2021. I can't say the pain has gotten any better, the wound is just no longer fresh😢.

My heart hurts for you. I have a very old boxer (Belle) that’s been with us for 14 years! She’s still kicking but the thought of her leaving us is unbearable. We recently adopted a Weimaraner that I saw at the shelter while taking my Belle to the vet and we are completely in love with her. I was afraid at first because she’s a huge dog (83lbs) and having a 9 year old daughter was a bit scary. I do not regret bringer her home. Both dogs are amazing and our family loves them very much. They give nothing but love. Adoption is the way to go. Stay strong for Charlie ❤ 🐕

I’m so deeply sorry 😢 for your loss. You know our fur babies are family. They are our best friends,love us unconditionally, and are so loyal. I have had dogs some rescues. Some we bought. I love them all dearly. One of my chihuahuas got sick and literally died within a day.. he suffered it still haunts me, 💔 I had just had surgery. Was not much good. My other rescue. He needed an emergency surgery for a hernia that was about to explode. Thank goodness I caught it in time. Had surgery recovered. Out of nowhere a couple years later got seizures. 😪I had him on seizure medications, just had his dose increased. The night before we put him down he had 20 plus seizures.. 😪 my chihuahua just got old, started with bleeding, and honestly just arthritis and her little hips were not great so we had to put her down. She was having trouble breathing I have been through so much! But each one left me with my best memories, I’m so thankful for them. I have my chihuahua left. He has back issues had surgery 2 years ago for a slipped disc so he has to be very careful. Legs aren’t the best and he’s getting old. I love him to pieces and I just pray 🙏🏼 I have him, healthy. I pray over him daily. My German shepherd is in Ohio I miss him dearly. Sending you & your family all my love and prayers. Bless your sweet girls lil soul. Now she’s resting in peace ♥️🙏🏼♥️🐾

Sorry to hear about the bad news. My sister's white lab abruptly passed away this year bc of a Rattlesnake bite and it broke my heart. I'm so sorry about Charlie... I feel your pain. I lost my chow mix Oct 3. Oct 1st she vomited, Oct 2nd she couldn't stand, and Oct 3rd she passed. It was so sudden. She was a rescue just like Charlie... the best dog I ever had and now my heart is broken. You made the right choice to ease her pain. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I understand your pain and know it's difficult not to question yourself or feel guilty, but try to be kind to yourself. Charlie would have never had a forever home and the life she had if you didn't rescue her. My sweet pittie boy was a rescue at 1 year old and had to be euthanized at 12 yrs. Yes it hurts the heart, but just remember, you gave Charlie the best life possible..you gave her a loving family for years. Thank you for doing this video, I'm sure it was very hard. All animals need love I don't care what kind of dog they are if they're loved that's all that matters. I lost my sweet Sabrina it'll be 4 years this Christmas day and she was 17 years old. A day doesn't go by then I miss her I wish I had her cuz she was one of my children. And when I lost my daughter November 11th 2023 I have them both together in their urns because these are my children. I have a memorial set up with the both of them. Some people might think I'm weird but I don't really care I just know my daughter Emily is up there was Sabrina now. It's November 7th today and on Monday won't be a year that I lost my beautiful daughter. I hope you find strength in yourself to know you did the right thing for everything you did to help her. She'll be on rainbow bridge waiting for you and she'll be the healthiest dog ever because she's up there with all the rest of the beautiful animals.
