MyKey disabled on 2016 F150 using FORScan

Note:
I have one key and it’s the admin key. I accidentally set myself to mykey limits and without a second key was stuck. Done some digging and found this software and cable. Then dig some more and found the mykey location in the software and was able to disable it.

After enabling MyKey on my 2018 f150 without an additional key I tried video after video to fix the issue. FINALLY this video had the fix. Thanks a ton. And screw the Ford dealership that said the only option was to give them $500 to make two new keys.

I had tried several options to fix this issue, and this was the one that worked on my 2021 F-250. Just make sure you leave MyKey Report enabled, otherwise I was getting an error message. Thank you for sharing!!

Thank you very much! I tried every other fix on google and youtube, this was the only one that worked for me. 2020 Ford Explorer Limited. The only difference was I had a OBDLinkEX without the switch, no issues.

This worked great on my 2015 F150. Was hard to not poke around to see what else I could do! Next day: Spoke too soon. I did remove the MyKey display and warnings, but the truck's speed is still limited to 80mph. All MyKey-related settings were disabled in the IPC module. Anyone know what I missed?

That happens because this method only removes the warnings, not the system.

I tried this, and though I changed the speed to "disable" I still cannot go above 80 mph. I no longer get notifications about the mykey or my speeed, but I still cannot go over 80. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

You do have to purchase the software. Be sure you have the same disabled as I do at the end and do the write. Only thing I can think of you may not have an option disabled.

If it's a smart key I suggest you using Autel IM508 I've removed many wiv only 1 key

I bought the obd2 reader and the forscan extended license. When I pull up the configuration and programming I only have one option for my key. I don’t have the full my key list of options like you do. Anyone know a fix to this?

@@phoebe9102 seat belt chime and light can be altered with in FORScan. I had done it recently. However don’t recall settings. I was setting my parking light to come on with the daytime running lights and read it on a forum or watched it in another video.

I wish I could be more helpful this is what worked for me. I had one key and set the radio and speed limiter. Utilized what’s shown to disable it. Also did the Bambi mode, parking lights with DRL (fraptor gotta frap LoL), did the raptor splash screen too. I’ll be changing that soon it was done as a joke to fraptor haters.

ForScan is the software. You will need to purchase the paid version to do these things. The OBD2 plug is sold separate.

Well like everyone here I got my key feature enable but not speed limit, I disable my key and speed limit was “USA and Canada only” I disabled it and everything worked just fine but know I can’t go over 80mph and I’m reading that nobody found a solution so it looks like I have to get a new key, get everything as it was before and remove it with the new key :/ it sucks that it didn’t work a 100% if anyone got a solution let me know please
