Dance Vasant Utsav was held at Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple, Mylapore on behalf of Saraswati Educational Cultural Charitable Trust. The event was inaugurated by Revathy Ramachandran, former director of Kalakshetra Trust, Tamil Nadu Commissioner of Hindu Religious Charities, KV Muralitharan, Tamil Nadu Director of Arts and Culture, SR Gandhi.
The Vasant Utsav Festival of Dance 2024 in Chennai, India, will run from May 4-11, 2024, with two dance performances each day, except for May 5. The festival will feature various classical dance styles of India, as well as cultural folk dances and poetry. Dance schools, academies, and disciples of renowned gurus will also showcase their talents.
The 2024 Vasant Utsav Festival of Dance took place from May 1-11, 2024 at the Kapaleeshwarar Temple in Mylapore, Chennai. The festival is a 10-day event that celebrates Indian art and culture, and promotes Vedic heritage. The festival features performances from artists across India, including a Bharatanatyam recital by R Vijay Madhavan and a performance by Kathak dancer Prachee Shah Pandya.
The Saraswathi Educational Cultural and Charitable Trust, founded in 1996 by Indira Garyali, organizes the festival to support Indian culture, heritage, and education.
