I appreciate that you're always trying to teach us how to do these things but I'm still a newbie and what you're doing is currently still above my head but what I came here to say is that the music you make is divine. It'a absoutely wonderful and your sultry voice isn't hurting anything on top of that. Cheers brother!

Great video!! This Reminds me a bit of the Bastl SoftPop2! But that's a synth with a sequencer where you select the notes with a slider and you can record them that way and trigger in different playback modes/patterns you can edit the scales and it has patchable envelopes and filters and a LFO and they all modulat each other with sliders. It's wild! But this little thing is great! Maybe even more useful than the Softpop2? I dunno

What an excellent demo of this product! This was the first demo which made sense... I have even seen this product demoed live in Superbooth. In that point it seemed to generate mainly just useless stuff. Now there seems to be promise of something interesting.

Will it save the 4 sequences (2 buffers) when you power off? Any other way to save for later recall or performance?

Yep you can - there are 8 memory slots for saving sequences.

This looks pretty amazing! Will they do a eurorack version of this? Tbh I hate stomp boxes. I have 3 and thats far too many. I'm a guitarist and I hate them! I know this doesn't exactly fall into that category but the size and shape says another loose box that needs batteries or a separate wall wort. That's what I don't like about them. A couple of CV inputs for oct and trigger for each channel and it would be perfect in a eurorack! All nice and neat taking power from a single wall wort along with all the other stuff in the case. Honestly they need to do a eurorack version.
@JosephElsherbiniАй бұрын
I like modular too. But a Cioks 4 with a USB power supply or Cioks DC7 with power staight from mains makes stomp boxes a lot less annoying at least for wall warts.

The euro thing is a question for Hadj to answer, sure he’ll chime in! This actually comes with a Myvolts USB power wire so it runs off a USB socket.
@hadjhifi8910Ай бұрын
Hey, yeah we hear you : ) PlayFader always had a clear design goal of that it should be able play almost any electronic sound making device - CV, MIDI but also Euro, Buchla (1.2v/oct) or vintage (Hz/V). Coupled with creating an interface that anyone can play music on, we really felt it would benefit from being standalone and portable. It's also by design that it sits in front of a rack of modules, not nestled in a jungle of cables, it encourages and supports continuous play and interaction. BUT... We've done quite a bit of thinking, drawing and discussing about what a eurorack module might be. Let's just say that something familiar but different is where we're heading. PlayFader does some cool stuff that we do think would be amazing in a module of some form. So, PlayFader is this way for a few good reasons, but we think there's some more fun stuff we can do in Eurorack, thanks for the encouragement and stay tuned ✌

@hadjhifi8910 tbh I made this comment before finishing the video! My head is spinning with how much stuff it can do. So I can see why you went that way. Brilliant product. I hope it does well for you. After I get my voltage lab 2. This will definitely be on my wish list. Eurorack or not.

For those who like weird little boxes, the core concept looks a lot like the way you'd record notes in the leploop analog sequencer, like shown here : kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2rCZp9roJehetksi=We10j76jjyYiPGo1

A strange bug that I found with this thing is when the PF is synced to an external clock the non-quantised time doesnt work at all! Or maybe I just missed something completely...
@Gmartin4049Ай бұрын
Staring to miss knob per function. So many devices now that you have to memorise. Super handy I know but also annoying unless you use them every day. Still its a great sequencer for sure.
@mylarmelodiesАй бұрын
Would be a very different physical kettle of fish if that were the case is the trick! This way your hands only have one spot they need to go to, just a case of committing the combos to the muscles
@averagepainterАй бұрын
hmm. another device with next to no buttons. seemingly genius. seemingly easy to use. but as with all these things it relies on convoluted button combos that you tend to forget. „press this twice then hold these two buttons and then slide this to erase notes but only temporarily because you held the other button before… but if you hold clear and loop and double tap scale, it does something different but only if beforehand you pressed hold thrice.“ these gadgets never worked for me. maybe i‘m old. i‘d rather have dedicated buttons for everything.
@mylarmelodiesАй бұрын
It definitely will take a bit of commitment and practice to learn the combos, but it’s very much achievable. The core basics are all in this video. It’s an instrument, learning one takes practice.
