So best intro of a concert of all times (for me) : "Peut-être toi" Bercy 2006 (she arrives in a capsule!!!), "Mylenium" Mylenium tour (she appears from a huge statue and flies in the air to land on the hand of the statue). Best way to end a concert (so epic) : "Avant que l'ombre" Bercy 2006 (with a water curtain, a huge stair and a huge door), "L'horloge" le film 2019 (from a Charles Beaudelaire poem, she disappears in the fire, yes!). Otherwise "Innamoramento", le film 2019 just because f***!! 20 years without that song live and the instrumental part after she leaves is awesome!!!

Yes her personality is wonderful! A little history, maman a tort was her debut song back in 1984 and what you heard was a little bit of it that she often resings. She also said sth along the lines of “long long time ago, when we first met, there was this.. and this too” then some melody in between “and how I adore this moment, if you’d permit me?” Public: “yes!!” Sorry if I missed some things, I can’t watch back when typing and french isn’t my first lang xd But I really suggest you react to more of her stuff, for example Avant que l’ombre a Bercy entry + peut-être toi or the samw concert with the ending, Avant que l’ombre. Her starts and ends are always a whole show if it’s own. She is also known was one of the most successful artists of all time in France. She has sold out 164k tickets in 3 hrs for 2 of her concerts at Stade de France (82k per concert), and for this tour 200k tickets in a day.

c'est la 1ère fois qu'ils voient mylène. 2:50 ils ne s'attendaient pas à ça. Elle pensait qu'elle serait juste là à chanter et non à danser aussi et ça l'impressionne. 3:43 remarque ils s'attendaient pas à voir autant de monde. 9:00 elle l'a trouve merveilleuse et aime sa personnalité sur scène. ça a l'air d'un concert fun.

Someone in the comments already mentioned this, but you NEED to react to her performance of “Avant Que L’Ombre”live in 2006 at Bercy. The stage, lighting, emotion, vocals, and instrumental solo is nothing short of perfect and is probably the best performance of her entire career. And given your guys’ usual taste in music, I feel it would definitely be up your alley; it’s very Nightwish-esque.

I wish you could understand the lyrics, stylistically they are interesting but the subject is just incredible, especially considering when this song came out (1987). The song is called "Without counterfeit I am a boy", it's like an homage to a community that until quite recently was cast aside in our societies, and still is in a majority of countries worldwide. She put transgenders on the map 20 years before everyone else, like Mecano did for lesbians with Mujer Contra Mujer (1990), or Jimmy Somerville (Bronski Beat) for gays with Smalltown Boy (1984).

Oh also a way to learn how to pronounce her name & song names correct is to go to google translate, choose the french option and see how it’s pronounced there :D Maybe, if you do more of these with Mylène, look some things up too (lyrics especially, she writes them all herself, they are very beautiful, very poetic), could be very interesting!
