You probably won't see this comment because there are so many other comments out there, amazing ones, if you see this though I think you should make a youtube short, were, every day you check the comments, and see what people want in rvs in the future,. Hope you see this! :) I said this because I have a lot of things I want to say about possible changes for different types of rvs! Its hard sometimes to find someones ONE certain comment, so I think making the youtube short could help so you can ansqer many other people ideas or questions faster! I think this will help both you, and other people too!! ❤ :)

We recently had as a loaner until our Winnebago view was ready a coachman cross trail. The model was a 21xg. It had a bed in back that would fold up on the side to open up the entire rear section for storage. The mattress was very thin and we tried to leave bedding on it to save interior storage but that made storing the bed against the wall difficult. It could be done but it was hard to do and still food up far enough to latch. So if you got a little thicker/better mattress you difficult have to use most of the rear cabinets for pillows and bedding. There was no place to put a book or phone or anything while in the bed either. Anyway it was terrible in my opinion. This one had the generator so we had ZERO outside storage. Not even a sewer hose holder so that had to go inside along with hoses, electricity cords, etc. It drove nice and had some nice features but the lack of outdoor storage made it unusable. Then there was the bathroom. It was so small you couldn't stand in front of the mirror unless you were small AND pressed yourself hard into the corner. Look up the Floorplan to see. It also required you to take out several screws from a fairly large wood panel to access the valves for the water tank. The list on that one was about 150k. If I had to keep it and couldn't just sell it, I wouldn't give them 50k for it. It was that bad.

Hey Myles, the 21XG is my favorite. Mainly because the rear entry garage/storage allows you put longer items (like kayakas) and a bit taller. I also like the bathroom layout better and the fold down bed allows you to keep things inside. Great job giving us a quick tour of these units. On a different note, I’m from Austin and I agree with 100% about the humidity making the heat worse. Safe travels!

I drive this chassis for Amazon with those cloth seats on the cvd vans from ford and I have to say the side bolster’s loses its padding after 20k miles of moderate to heavy use, exposing the metal framing of chair. The seat cushion is awful and my back is killing me by the time I return to station. 😅 It’s disgusting that for the listed price Coachmen wouldn’t install their signature, upgraded foam padding seats for the driver that it shares with their mattress. Too many compromises for the price tag!

2nd alternative for sure if you also ride motocross. I'm loving my new Jayco Terrain (2023) for my kids' motocross racing. I can fit 2 bikes in the garage and a third bike on a hitch switch hauler (vs bringing my trailer). It's a super game changer for practice day trips and rolling into far races without towijg a trailer. Having a retractable bed is also clutch because for my van at least, I can load max 110 pounds on the bed at any level while driving. So dirt bikes underneath, and additional items on top of the bed. Another person could definitely sleep under the bed in either RV in this vid. I sleep under my queen sized bed while wife and younger son sleeps on the bed. Older son sleeps in the front cab using the Luno sleep set up.

I agree about the outdoor kitchen. I'd rather have the inside storage instead of a 2nd, almost wasteful, outdoor kitchen. And Wow! on the storage area on both. I think I prefer the 21 model better. It has a better layout. And that backdoor is nice as well. You may lose some storage area in the 21, but it's still a nice storage area for an RV.

Wet bay: unshielded fully exposed electrical wires at the wastewater area ! Add Wire ties anything to clean up to minimum standard looks like a kids home project ? One thing you need to think about with the set up like this is that the bed is pretty much unusable if you have anything in the storage area. If you’re traveling a long distance with a full storage area, you better hope that when you pull off into a rest area, you can fit in that booth table area. Especially with the fold down bed in the 21 footer. 😮 Great review, Myles!

Sir, narrow pathways are meant to offer safety. Like on a ship and trains which also offer pullmans, small, tiny private spaces. Reason being narrow is to offer safety when vessel, rv vehicle or train is in motion, moving! Ships, boats and train also have grab rails. I wonder if rv's do.

There is good value here in comparison to Winnebago's offerings in this class, which are typically much more expensive. The Ekko is nice, but not at a price of nearly $100,000 more for a similarly equipped model. There's really no way to justify that kind of a price differential.

The first model with cross storage missed the mark by NOT adding just one more door, on the back, so that your KAYAK idea would actually work. (Can’t fold a rigid kayak around a corner.) Yes, the second model had a door on the back, but NOT storage access on the sides. Manufacturers get SO CLOSE to the perfect combination, and then they STOP SHORT of the great finish. It is very frustrating to watch them continue to FAIL in design. Same with RVs that refuse to offer KING beds as an option, or better yet, make KINGS the standard. I’ve NEVER heard of anyone complaining that a bed was TOO BIG.
