@@olagerta8199 i do not know about that ASDA presure cooker, I have a German MWF one, which does not recommend to cook rice due to the foam raising up potentially with grain of rice and could block the cooker vents. It;s dangerous as steam would not be able to escape.

Practical tip: add two centimeters of water before you heat the pot, and add boiling water from the kettle. You can also lower the heat /turn it down by a quarter once steam starts escaping from the valve /and the pressure indicator has popped up. Then start your timing for the cooking process

Thanks for this tutorial. My mum gave me a stove pressure cooker which I have been terrified to use! I have the instant Crock pot and the scariest part is when the pressure starts building up, sounding louder and louder then abruptly stops. Just like my heart does in those moments.. 😭

I have been using a pressure cooker for years. My mother had one too. I wouldn't cook potatoes like that because a lot of the nutrients go into the water. I always steam vegetables in a basket inside the pressure cooker, using very little water at the bottom of the pan. The water does not touch the vegetables.

I would look online to find a chart of suggested times to cook specific foods and just use that timing. All the pressure cookers are slightly different, but most do come with manuals (I have two and one is from eBay, so I don't have a manual for it). But they're all basically the same general techniques.

I always used at stove top pressure cooker. Then I bought an Instapot. The Instapot has its uses, such as sous vide cooking, yogurt making, slow cooking but it takes AGES to heat up. I use my stove top for vegetables but I don NOT cook them in water, as shown in this video. I put them in a basket on a slightly elevated trivet so that only steam is forced through the vegetables and they are not touching the water.

Hi, thanks for this video introduction. My question is whether you maintained the temperature setting of the hob at 9 for the entire 7 minutes or did you reduce the temperature at some point after the steam pressure was established? BTW I just noticed a comment saying you can reduce the heat by a quarter and then start the timer. How about what you do.? Part of this method is to save energy right?

Good tutorial! What is also important is that you always polish the lid with a metal polish. If there are fingerprints on the lid and the lid heats up, the fingerprints will burn in and over time the pot will no longer look nice.

do you have the reciepe of how much water you need to put to cook stuffed grape leaves on pressure cooker. I seen a video where cooking them normal pot you need about 5-6 inches above the leaves, I guess in the pressure cooker the amount of water you use must be different. The other thing do they come out watery, and which way is better to cook them. Pressure cooker or normal pot (were you put a plate on top of the leaves and another jar of water on top of the plate to hold them properly and you add water about 6 inches above the grape leaves which takes about 3 Hrs)

Hi…so do you choose the timing you want to cook for? Approx how long for lamb?
@MyLittleKitchenRecipes
@MyLittleKitchenRecipes 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, no there is no timer on a pressure cooker. It's always approx timings that you kinda figure out yourself. Lamb I'd say would take approximately 20- 25mins, again depends on the size of the pecies. Hope that helps 😊👍
